MC 2-0 NEW
Yaya, Cisse

Tranquil will have been delighted to see his side playing Newcastle today off the back of a recent slump in form. The home side needed a win today and ran out expected, comfortable winners, with Yaya Toure completely dominating Newcastle's midfield almost single-handedly. The task ahead for Newcastle's new manager looks grim, but his side has promise, although Hazard was snuffed out today as Ivanovic and Alba impressed.

===

MU 1-1 TOT
Fabregas
Sanchez

The problem of width persists for United as a different formation failed to disguise the fact this side needs genuine wingers. Pastore played on the left today and wandered aimlessly into the centre far too many times. Unfortunately for 21, Spurs have the best set of wingers in the league and they ran riot today, Sanchez opening the scoring before former Barcelona team-mate Fabregas grabbed a point for the hosts.

===

LIV 1-0 STO
Ben Arfa

A moment of magic from Frenchman Hatem Ben Arfa won this game for Liverpool as the home side showed marked improvement at the back as they welcomed Marcelo from injury. The Brazilian is not the most defensively sound but his reignited partnership with Portuguese defender Pepe allowed Liverpool to silence Stoke's biggest threats, Pedro and Cavani.

===

AV 2-2 ARS
Oscar, Schweinsteiger
Podolski, van Persie

Guv's change of formation looked to have worked for Villa today, although it remains to be seen how he will conquer the issue of a lack of midfield protection as Kroos and Schweinsteiger were exposed too often. Combined with an erratic performance from Jerome Boateng, this game delivered goals as both side's attacks took full advantage. Oscar was the star of the show, however, as he revelled in his advanced position, scoring before assisting the late equaliser.

CHE 1-1 EVE
Mata
Cahill

This game may well prove to be vital in the race for third as Everton left it late to secure a huge point at Stamford Bridge. Recently the visitors have been poor and today was no different, as Chelsea raced into the lead thanks to a sublime Juan Mata effort. However, former Blue Gary Cahill returned to full-fitness this week and marked his return to the first-team with a powerful header which left Stekelenburg no chance.

Man City 1 - 0 Newcastle
Messi

City had to battle hard to break the Newcastle team down as the visitors defended well as a team and countered fast and should have gone 1 up when Benzema raced clear and the ball as a foot over the line but the linesman didnt flag it. It was Messi and Cisse that combined and Cisse unselfishly passed to Messi for a tap-in.
-----
Man Utd 1 - 1 Spurs
Ozil ------------- Di Maria

Two individual goals gave both sides a point. Ozil with a nutmeg and then a 20 yard dribble for his goal whilst Di Maria ran from the wing and dummied 3 players before sliding home the equaliser. Some stunning goalkeeping from both keepers to prevent more goals from the strikers too.
-----
Liverpool 1 - 1 Stoke
Ben Arfa --------- Cavani

Ben Arfa scored after 40 seconds as Ribery raced past the fullback and cut back for Ben to smash home with his lethal left foot. Stoke pressed on and finally they scored their deserved equaliser when Cavani found a yard of space and curled in a beautiful shot top right hand corner.
------
Fulham 2 - 2 Sunderland
Bale ---------- Neymar, Falcao
Villa

Fantastic game with lots of goals and great drama. Bale with an early goal after he raced clear and tucked it neat. Neymar equalised after he lobbed the keeper at point blank. Sheer class goal. Falcao checked back to his left foot and curled it past the keeper for the visitors to go ahead. Falcao was clearly tripped in the box afterwards but the ref played and and it was from there that Bale flew and found Villa who whipped in a vicious shot for the winner.
------
Chelsea 1 - 1 Everton
Mata ------------- Ronaldo

Both teams defended deep and gave no space to their opponents which made it difficult to break the deadlock but it was Ronaldo's special free-kick that did it. He powered it past keeper who just stood there in disbelief. The home side paced forward and in the 80th minute Tevez raced clear and was tripped by the keeper but luckily Mata was there to tap home the equaliser.

Manchester City 3 - 1 Newcastle
Messi, Yaya, Sterling; Llorente

City look back on form with a fine display. Messi and Yaya were threats throughout and capped off fine individual displays with a goal each. Sterling came off the bench for Menez and got a tap in late on. Llorente immediately pulled one back with a well controlled header, but it was too late for anything to spring from the new hope.
---------------------------------------------------
Manchester United 1 - 1 Tottenham
Ozil; Sanchez

A nice performance from both sides saw them divide the points between themselves.United took off early on with a rocket from Ozil which left De Gea with absolutely no chance. Sanchez responded shortly before half time with a mazy run and a tidy finish into the corner of the net. The second half was a great showcase of attacking football, but failed to yield any goals.
---------------------------------------------------
Fulham 2 - 1 Sunderland
Iniesta, Ramos; Goetze

This was again, a very good game between two well matched sides. Fulham eventually came away with it but had to come from behind after a bellowing Hodgey sent them out early at half time. Before the break they were largely pegged back, with the adventurous Sahin doing a lot of the work for Sunderland. However, Hodgey's Hairdrier put the wind in Fulham's sail, and Iniesta soon levelled the game. It was that man again who delivered a delightful cross for a marauding Ramos to hammer home in the dying seconds.
---------------------------------------------------
Aston Villa 0 - 1 Arsenal
-; Reus

A slow match compared to the others, and it was a solitary goal that was the difference here today. Reus got the goal after a piece of stunning vision and skill from RVP which left Luiz flat on his back and Reus with acres of space and time to curl a shot around the helpless Cech.
---------------------------------------------------
Chelsea 1 - 1 Everton
Valencia; Alves

Chelsea look to be a very very good side at the moment, and if they can iron out a few kinks they could maybe make a late charge for the title, who knows? It was the kinks that undid them today however, Valencia put them infront with a typically strong run and snap shot past Casillas, but Luis was out of his depth against Navas and Alves. Alves was the one who got the goal, but Mata may try and claim it with a slight deflection diverting it away from the sprawling keeper.
