So you made this thread to tell us that we should only talk about football? Whilst in doing so, you weren't talking about football. Me, I believe this isn't 1930's Germany, and we should be able to discuss most reasonable topics.
It's really easy to click off of a thread if it isn't to your taste. And it is even easier to filter someone who you believe is trying to agitate you.
A thread like this isn't going to make anything better.
What CC said ^^^^
TRR, you've put a 'big white elephant in the room' by creating this thread and them refusing to answer the perfectly reasonable and obvious questions it raises!!
Well I certainly think this Filtering fella should play just behind Kevin Davies.
See a bit of Football there for us all.
CEF.
My gripe isn't with you. It's with MT. As far as I'm concerned, I have spoken to MT and we have both agreed to draw a line under the whole thing and not mention each other any longer.
I'm fine with that.
Stop trying to draw me into any further arguments with you, please. All the information is on here. I'm not looking for it, I know what was said, I know what I'm referring to and so does MT. I mentioned that to him this morning. It may well be deleted though as MT did delete most comments from this morning.
RB - what you are talking about is on a completely different level and seriousness to doing a bit of 'googling'.
Hacking is a crime, googling a twitter or fb account isn't.
TRR.
I saw all the discussion before it was deleted. I also saw all the original as it happened to be on one of my threads.
I won't ask again. Maybe you should close this thread if we aren't allowed to discuss the issues you have raised in your OP.
I know CEF and I waffled on a bit techy but you know what I mean about finding sensitive info legally without hacking.
Do a wire trace on JA606 traffic, look at what time a certain user is on-line, match to the REQ's and ACK's at that time and with destination servers/exchanges in this area to get their IP, run a port sniffer on that address to find an open(non-firewalled) port, install a key-logger and wait until they type their address on their computer, convert that HEX to ASCII and you find out where they live quite legally
Give over CEF.
If you read it, you know the reasons. I'm not going over it again.
There is a poor where each thread has run it's course. This one was about 10 comments ago.
Maybe, if your so interested, you could ask MT?
I've somehow only just got to read this thread and the other MT thread which is now closed to comments.
For my part, there are not many users left on JA606 who I haven't had a fairly sizable spat with at some point. Often, I enjoy a bit of a row. Even MT went through a period where he blocked me on Twitter and sought me out on another forum to tell me that "we are through" or similar. What a pair of big soft lumps.
Ultimately, it's all comedy and handbags as far as I am concerned.
MT and TRR do seem to have one of those long term relationship breakdowns but if you locked them in a pub with a jukebox and a barrel of lager for 12 hours they'd be hugging and kissing by the end of it. And ripping the you-know-what out of each other.
Same with me and Bricks I imagine, we are always nit-picking each other's posts but I type/read something on here and although I do sometimes get genuinely wound up and I can't pretend it's all levity, it's just a football forum. Some of Bricks' posts are unintentionally comical, I can't resist giving him abuse. Look at all that stuff above about the Communications Act of 2003. Brilliant. I have a very dark sense of humour.
It's hard not to have a level of affection for the same people you 'talk' to several times a week for months and months. That's how I feel anyway.
Off the top of my head I've had spats with MT, Vera, TRR, Campo, Petrov, Aristodemus, First of..., Bricks, WF, SWIE, nunsnmoses & benny (from Crossroads), and probably loads that I've forgotten about.
I've met nunsnmoses and benny for beers, RustyMcHayes who is banned from here for abusing the admins, but it turned out we've known each other since 1994 anyway, and WhiteBic for a match ticket, and I get on famously with people I like to think. But if I were to spend any length of time with any of you, I would rip the you-know-what our of you if you said something I thought was funny or stupid, just as I do on here. This is a broad definition of banter.
So I think MT and TRR should stop being big softies and kiss and make up, its been too long and you have nothing sensible or important to dislike each other about anyway. You pair of clowns.
I ain't kissing, I ain't offering 12 hours in a pub.
But I'll treat you like any other user on here. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
LH - you're clearly an argumentative so and so eh!
Of course I am. It's a football discussion forum, and I back my own views on football related matters. I also fancy my chances in a typical handbags contest. I am a pain in the backside, but I do try to back my points up.
The only posters who genuinely irritate me are the ones who make the same point every time they post, or whose SOLE activity on a forum seems to be to try to find holes in the posts of people they don't like or agree with. Because they contribute so little and convince themselves of the opposite somehow. I don't think we've got anybody in the latter category on here, and the few we get in the former category do improve over time, I think the standard of discussion lifts people up over time, if you know what I mean.
"I also fancy my chances in a typical handbags contest."
I'm guilty of this too.... Boring site without it eh....
606 is a collective of personalities from society... When did we decide to pretend we were all the same and act accordingly....!
My mates (My real brothers from different mothers) are all different.. We gel and the differences work for us... Bit like the wife.... 606 allows you to join, read and comment WHEN you want... Like a magazine with different articles... I don't read every page, just the ones that interest me....

November...
Time for international espionage
Malta for a month this Saturday.
It kind of suits my business and demands of work to do it all a once and it's kinder to the planet. One flight and all that. Also I can afford a 5* hotel in November instead of a 3/4* in August.
I do St Julians in Malta which is the equivalent of Malta's 'west end' so it's a happening place all year round. Youtube "Paceville" and you'll see what I mean. It's a 5 min walk away from my hotel.
It's still 23-29C and it really shortens my winter I find, so it does me fine, even tho' it's a bit of a wait.
You still got a girlfriend over there Bricks...?
Isn't it time for commitment and marriage..?
You can't be happy for ever...!?
Yeah she's moving into the hotel and going back to her apartment 12 miles away every day to feed her dog!!
Kill the dog, move to Blighty...
Have November in Mallorca.
No need to thank me... I'm good.
Sorry, post steak and chips 'special' attack on the keyboard as I was catching up on the thread.
November is a hell of a good month to get out of the UK. I hate November.
The dog is from Blighty.
It's my dogs son!!
I hate January.
New start, new this, new that.... Finished and moved to default by Feb.... Hate it!!!
