why dont you start a protest then?

Because you can speak for them LIW.

The club is being run as all clubs should be. Unlike your idea of running the club which probably matches the Risdale era.

Are you employed by someone to write posts daily to knock Leeds and everything connected with it?

Do you see nothing good at all about our club, it's management, players etc...?

***********************

Is there something good about it?
If there is I can't find it. It's just a shell of a once great club and it's time you lot started to realise that and get these jokers out so we can build from the ground up...and I don't mean a hotel!

The club has been run at a loss.

Only selling players has brought the club into profit.

Do you think thats good that players have to be sold ever season to balance the books.

Do You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bates always said he would destroy us after the scoreboard incident at the bridge, he seems to be doing a good job and making a fortune as well.
Can anyone tell me something good that bates has done at the club apart from improve the catering in hospitality and give Dons players roles at the club.

Whats sadder is people can see it.

Either not proper fans or have limited brain matter

And the reason for us having to rent the ground at mega bucks is due to someone with your idea of finance spending too much and having then to sell it.
And then why do you moan when Bates tries to increase income from developing pavillions, new exec boxes. Numpty
Lets see what this years figures show. League one was always going to be difficult financially due to lack of central funds

And your a proper fan? Your the one with limited brain matter as you have a one track mind!!

So why doesnt the club buy it back, instead of spending 7m on the east stand.

And we were charging prem prices in league 1

Look at the facts, the club in league 1 had a turnover of
£27m and it still couldnt make money

Were getting conned and if you cant see that, your thick

And ive never moaned about the boxes, I have about the hotel because i dont think it will pay for itself

posted on 22/7/11

How much would it cost to buy the ground? A lot more than £7m. Plus this amount covers the whole development not just this summers improvements.
To get conned the money must being going into Bates' pocket. You and no one has proved this yet.
At least I'm thick and not a brain dead numpty like you

seems to be a few insults flying around.....

why ?

Bates is only increasing income for himself end of.
Nobody has ever come on here and said we should be spending millions, but the club has made a lot of money from selling players and hardly spent any. 52% was spent on wages last year from £27m so where has the other £13m gone as we made a loss.
Why spend money on a ground "he doesnt own" and not on a team he does own, surely success should come on the pitch before spending money on the ground.
Two questions for the pro bates fans.
1. Are you happy that with 2 weeks to the start of the season we have only signed one outfield player who is nearly 35 years old and hasnt played since december when we have lost 2 midfield players and our 2 main strikers are injured.
2. The average season ticket for an under 16 in the championship is £40-120, we charge £200-300, we are losing a generation of fans. is this right.

posted on 22/7/11

1. No I'm frustrate we haven't signed more players. All clubs are trying to sign players and we will.
2. Are we losing a generation of fans. This will only be proved in years to come.

Plus why keep harping on about owning the ground. Improving it increases income. Many business rent buildings and they don't just let them deteriorate. Would you go to a business who didn't look after their surroundings?

Cas, Ridsdale ran up the loss, Krasner sold TA to keep the club afloat and managed to get a buyback clause put in that was beneficial to Leeds.

Bates threw that buyback opportunity away.

CAs - so you think the junior ticket prices are fair.

posted on 22/7/11

Jonty, but if it wasn't sold wouldn't need buy back. Plus we still can buy it back or look elsewhere if it is more cost effective.
King, I don't have much of a view at present as I don't have kids. But it works out a about a £10 a match for a season ticket for a kid. Could it be cheaper, possibly. Or preferably should have a lower price for kids, say, under 10.

No company rents and spends 7m on extending them

Bates would have had to pay more for the club, so it counters that arguement

Leeds have two sites. Some companies have hundreds so they would over many sites for shopping fitting spend millions.
And as for the cost of the club, that is hypothetical cause it didn't happen that way.
Get a life man. I don't agree with everything he does and have views that some things could be done differently. But you just on a one way street. Actually take a look and he has done some good things.

Shop fitting is a business expense, what were doing with the east stand is capital expense, big difference mate.

Cas

Name the good things he's done

posted on 22/7/11

Again i ask you. Why dont you start a protest then? Since grayson came in charge you have moaned about both him and bates.Saying bates is stealing fans money, yet you still have done nothing about it and still fund him by getting season tickets each season. Some protest that is

Cas,it had to be sold to keep club afloat.

We no longer have the right to buy it back, landlord can do what he wants, so Bates missed that opportunity to buy TA back at a fraction of market value.

The time has never been right, ie the last thing I want the football side to be affected, we've been going for promotion and that. The timing could well be right soon

And all i buy is a season ticket, nothing else from the club

I don't want to get into mass arguement over this, but you know he has done some good things, ie
Facilities for all fans, moving the away fans, getting rid of stupid expenses (fish etc), keeping the club on even keel.
Yes, should be more investment in players this summer, but it's not finished. Yes, should be cheaper tickets for under 10's for example.

I can see both sides of the arguement, but blindly saying things like he's robbing the club without actual evidence is not right. Plus a business can have capital expenditure on a site it doesn't own, agreed. I was trying to give an example of where a business spends money it can't recoup (although we can still buy ER in the next 20 ish years.
