Agree with Joe Cole. Add Downing to that aswell. Feck em both off.
Dont be too hard on Brad, he made some top drawer saves where we could have found ourselves 3 or 4 down mid-way through the 2nd half. His long ball must be under BR's instruction.
Its ok buying young players provided you get a mix of older experienced heads. We are in bad need of a Striker and a class play-maker like Hazard and/or Mata. Gerrard is now predictable, Shelvey not skilled enough.
But above all, we need pace to play effective 4-3-3.
I think cover for Lucas is a requirement aswell cos I can see a recurring injury with him.
Interesting to see which decisions BR makes and see if FSG back him.
I thought Brad Jones was great.
Brad is a decent backup to Pepe, Doni is set to come back, which is a bonus. January is nearing closer, so now we have to knuckle down and get some points on the board. I dont care how but we must have to.

I watch our 1st XI and feel totally optimistic, then come midweek, cup competition, the second string just give me Hodgson flashbacks.
As soon as I saw JCole I knew it was going to be a tough night. We were basically playing with Yesil alone up front as Cole was nowhere to help.

Felt sorry for Yesil who is clearly a talent but not to be depended upon on his own up front. That is Breandans fault in my opinion. He doesn't need to play the same formation every game.
If you believe in a philosophy, then you stick to it no matter what.
I would gladly give both Cole and Downing away for free and pay their salaries at new clubs just to never see them in a red shirt again. Useless to$$ers the pair of them.
What BR said about Cole last night, we the supporters have known for several months. I hope Cole leaves in January, who knows maybe Lille are still keen or Rednapp is willing to give him a chance at the next club he manages.
