Most of the match winning players flit in and out of games dont they. look at Bennett as a clasic example, but it is that moment of brilliance that wins games.
Coppingers' class would shine like a beacon in League One, as it did last time we were here.
The problem would be that he and Cotterill play a similar role and Cotterill is doing well for us and scores more goals (so far).
On the other hand Coppinger works harder up and down the right side, backing up the full back behind him and also gets behind the opposition defence to cut back crosses more than Cotterill does.
Mickey Walker once told me that he would like to see Coppinger playing just behind a main striker so possibly we could fit him into the team in that role, if he wanted to come back.
With Cotterill and Bennet both missing over the last couple of games we do look to have been short of creative quality players.

                     I would say 95% agree with you hound,i except that without issue.Majorities arnt always right though.I  think by now you know I bear the player no harm or ill feeling.I watched  Stuar Downing play for Liverpool last night,and in my humble opinion,our man is a working mans Stuart Downing,Looks good but nothing happens.We will probably always disagree,but when he returns I do hope he plays to his undoubted ability and I will be among the first to praise him.

I think you must be in the boozer or just left it after your customary gallon of Cherry B and Vimto.You 26 and praise are not 3 words you could bring yourself to string together in a sentence i'm sure
 
                    
                                
               
                                      
                      
                     Gorgeous George had a fantastic game last night for Borough. I remember sitting in front of an idiot at Millwall and all he did was criticise George from start to finish I hope he was watching him play last night.
