Disgraceful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His actions must make the relatives of people who gave their lives for us absolutely sick to the stomach.
Surely it is up to him what he want to wear, as long as he is not hurting someone.
Can you imagine the outcry had a muslim player done what he did?
Where has he said he hates English people? Not wearing a poppy does not equate to hate.
He has a stance on issues in his own country, and feels wearing a symbol that supports an army that occupies his country is wrong.
Surely wearing the poppy is a personal choice.
You and I may disagree with his opinion, but soldiers died to give us freedom.
Where has he said he hates English people? Not wearing a poppy does not equate to hate.

What do you think his decision represents?
i think its a distinct lack of gratitude and it winds me up no end
It represents that he does not agree with British occupation in Northern Ireland and feels Ireland should be a united country.
And do they allow Orange marches around St Stephen's square?
D'Jeezus - do you recall Manchester, Brighton, London, Enniskillen etc etc if he hates the behaviours of the British then go back to his bankrupt backwater, oh thats right he was born in Ulster!!!!! pffft disgraceful! T

What do you think the poppy represents? Is it a symbol of the NI occupation?
I have been out today and seen many people not wearing a poppy. Are they British haters? I was out at 11am and many people did not observe the minutes silence. Are they British haters?
i notice he's very happy to earn a huge amount of money in britain though, if he dont agree with british occupation then fack off back to ireland and play for glentoran

The part of Ireland he is from is occupied by the British army. Maybe if they fack off he would return...
Jezzus that maybe the case, but none of know if they were making an anti statement in doing so.
In this case we know that he was making a clear anti statement agts men and women younger than him that gave their lives for the future of this country and the world...........he might as well and done a huge sh-t on their gravestone.
Mex and his taxes pay for......................................the British Army so infact he is supporting/paying towards the occupation of his homeland!
DJ
If NI got invaded by someone I'm sure he'd want the British army to come and help out

It actually represents all nationalties that gave their lives in two world wars............do you know how many people that is and what the average age of those people that gave their lives were?
theyre are only british troops based in N.Ireland now, they dont go patrolling the streets, just like theyre are british soldiers based in germany, you dont hear the germans whinging about it
Do we know his reasons for not wearing it?
The moment when someone feels obliged to wear something for the fear of looking out of place or disrespectful is the moment we forget what we actually fought for imo.
