I hope it goes well for him, really likeable guy. Met him once here in Ireland seemed sound, signed his Man City hat and gave it to my mate.

Only 3 more nights to go, anyone else buzzing? My oh my i can't fkin wait. Love hatton to bits and a true boxing legend and hope it doesn't all go wrong and i honestly don't think it will !

i wouldnt go that far.

he had one decent career fight against Tszu, and thats it.

got shown up for the average fighter he is against Manny and FMJ.

by all means, love the Hitman, but Legend

Come on Dunc how is he not a legend !
He was a 3 times world champ and the peoples champ, best supported boxer there's ever been.
Beat everyone he ever faced apart from the 2 best fighters in the world in Mayweather and Pacquaio, no shame in losing to them at all. They are the elite, he is not the elite he's a ladder below but he still tried and gave it his all and never ducked anyone and always tried to fight to the death.

Absolute nonesense statement. Average? Behave yourself. You do not become a world champ in his weight category by being average, some of the best fighters out there have and are still fighting in this catergory.

like who??

name some of these so called world class fighters hatton has fought and beaten?

Read my post again, were did i mention he had fought world class fighters?

I didn't, but no no, just to put your point across you can pretend i did.

the original post claimed to be a legendary fighter.
you dont become a legendary fighter without being world class.

the likes of leonard, ali, hagler, duran, robinson etc are legendary fighters.

when you look at who there has been, hatton falls into the category of average.

i love hatton, but he is far from legendary.

Well he's a legend in mine and most peoples books and rightly so legend in and out the ring

In terms of great British boxers, below Conteh and Buchanan in terms of talent. and ability. Perhaps at the level of a Honeyghan or Minter.

The way I see it if you say Mayweather and Pacquaio are tier 1 the Hatton is/was the top of tier 2.

He was utterly and totally 1 dimensional, however his saving grace was he was phenomenonally good at that dimension (remember being 1 dimensional fighter is not the same as not being a good fighter)

I also have far, far more respect for him than I do for either Pacquaio and Mayweather, why

Well unlike Pacquaio at least he got into the ring with Mayweather and unlike Mayweather at least he got into the ring with Pacquaio.
