a fast bowler wud have tested the lower order. but unfortunately england like bowlers who bowl 75mph. lets be honest by every match passing broads pace is falling
can someone pls enlighten on how much truth there is to this statement? I have scored runs against Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka but India is the one place that I have not scored big and I know that is missing from my batting CV. - this was said by bell in the independant paper.
Is bell talking about sub continent conditions or overall?
He does have a point actually viru. He's got a good record vs all those teams except India. Vs India 38, pak 46, Lanka 67 and bengla 158. Seems like he stutters against India, Aussies and New Zealand
well wat he meant that he hasnt scored in indian conditions so it basiclly means he has fared well against sl and pak in their conditions
In Pakistan he's got an average of 40 in 3 games, last year he played 3 in UAE vs Pakistan with an average of 8. Total them together and you can see he's talking from his behind in that case. He's got an average of 18 in India.
ok fair enough. but he does have issues with spin bowling which he needs to rectify and if bairstow plays a better knock then he wont get a place in the next 2 matches
Awesome days play, great fightback from the Indian lower order. Looking forward to some good cricket over the weekend from this match and others.
how do u get pujara out? dats wat many of people r asking. in my opinion u just dont. go for other batsman
sachin nd gambhir r serious cause of worry for india. no excuse not being able to score. same goes with ponting.
surely age shudnt have that big a impact. both hussey and kallis and chanderpaul are pretty much the same age.
As they say form is temporary class is permanent, as long as they've got the desire I'd say they'll come good at some point whether it be in these series or future ones
You bowl at pujara the same way as Dravid, try to stop them rotating the strike, target his partner.
the guy was on his 95 and the crowd was going bezerk, and if it was any other youngster, they would just be tempted to play a rash shot and quickly get to dat 100, but pujara showed great temperament, and waited for a bad delivery to score off runs.
he might struggle in overseas conditions, but has the right temperament to adjust his game accordingly.

England looking very good. This is not going to be easy for India. This game is still wide open.
Agree solid start from England. England playing ojha well
Yeah very good start. Cook looking solid. I reckon Compton will get out soon. He looks slightly unsure at times.
Very good start from the openers.
Don't think your sub fielder should be allowed to stand in such important positions. It incentivises players to go off. Obviously Pujara was injured but still.
15 minutes ago England were comfortable. Not anymore.
England just cannot play left arm spin
England massively relying on cook here, Pietersen needs to step up.
Trott clearly couldn't pick him cos usually anything on his legs goes.
On a side note congratulations Monty!!! Glad to see you back
if it wasnt for pujara we have suffered a big blow. england already playing better than our so called best spin players. doesnt look dat gd for india
We aren't doing badly..just not finding the edge and when we do it's not carrying. Even contest atm. Pietersen sill be key.
Steady recovery from England. KP looking good and on the attack, but it only takes one ball
