What's our attitude to WBA?

Today's been the first time I've seen them play and they've looked very, very good. They're certainly playing better than us right now and are much more consistent as well. However over the 38 games, I think it'll be too big an ask for them to maintain this.

No. They will struggle to finish in the top 8.

^^Similar things being said to Newcastle last season. Great team and Clarke is a good coach. They have no pressure on them either. I expect them to stay up there with the top 6

Newcastle have far more quality than WBA though.

Well we have Everton & West Brom in the next week so we need to take points of both

If injuries and suspensions kick in for them I think they will start to struggle as their squad and transfer budget is not big enough for them to cope over the season.

If this doesn't happen I can easily see them finishing top 8 as their starting 11 are impressive and gel well together as a team.

They are 2-0 up now

2-0

WBA, you must take them serious. They lead now with 0-2.

Horrible mistake from Mignolet

Individually? Yes. But WBA work so well as a team and clarke's got them playing as a cohesive unit. Brilliant on the counter and quite hard to break down.

Yep WBA can give you are tough time atm.

There comes a point when you need to start respecting teams, no point assuming they'll just fall away. Of course teams like Blackpool and Hull have had winning spells in the past which saw them get into the top 4 and got many people talking about a potential fairytale, but then teams like Newcastle and West Brom have some genuine class which could help prolong this run.

As a team as well (last season). Newcastle have genuine quality in their team.

WBA have one or two decent players, but they rely on hardwork and in general just aren't as good. IF a team sits back against WBA (sounds funny, I know ), can you see them breaking the team down? I can't.

West Brom reaching this point has been an evolution since they were managed by RDM, I don't think it's any coincidence that they're doing well the season, and I would not be surprised to see them get top 6.

West brom will probably finish 7th or 8th

posted on 24/11/12

Btw now that I've said all of this, they'll probably get the double over us this season.

Also, Steven Fletcher is criminally underrated. I, like everyone else it seems, assumed he was a typical overrated british player with an inflated price tag and limited technical ability, but plenty of heart and grit.

However, having seen him play, everything he does looks classy. Forget his goals, he's just an all-round excellent player.

At least there's no Almunia to help them this season, Kam.

You have only just realised this?

Fletch is a decent/good player. Far from excellent though.

Definitely not worth the 15m they paid for him.

As a couple have already mentioned, if we lose to Everton and WBA then our season could be in serious trouble.

Those two games are crucial!
