ARSENAL have been told to forget signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Dutch striker is out of contract with the Gunners’ Champions League rivals Schalke in the summer.

And Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger — promised funds following last week’s £150million sponsorship deal with Emirates — is hoping that a January bid of £6m may be enough to snare the 29-year-old frontman.

But the Germans’ general manager Horst Heldt has goaded the Gunners by claiming they cannot afford the Hunter.

Heldt said: “There have been no offers or any sign of Klaas-Jan leaving.

“If someone comes to us six months before the expiry date, and has a lot of money, we will deal with it.

“But from Arsenal circles we hear there is no money anyway.”

I wouldn't take much notice of the Huntelaar thing - going round saying "we've got loads of money to spend," etc. would only serve to drive his price up.

My god what a shitt article by the sun, if theo was going to go we would of sold him in the summer. I think it is possible he will sign a contract.

We have 0% chance of signing huntelaar, a manager like wenger will never a million years sign a player for a fee when they will be out of contract in 6 months.

When Wenger was mentioning his British players in his press conference he was very reluctant to mention Walcott.

Theo is arguably out most effective player. Yes Theo wasnt great when he came but is now probably reaching his peak.

We are already an embarrassment due to the fact that we sell out best players year on year but if Theo goes, it will definitely come back and bite us on the ass.

Surely Wenger and Theo can reach some sort of compromise.

I am a staunch pro Wenger but if these 2 go then there is something seriously wrong with the club we love. Is it Wenger ?? is it the Board ?? who knows but I worry what will happen to Wenger, the board, us fans and the remaining players if this happens..........
