According to SoD, the players were posing last night. They took their eye off the ball and underestimated Ipswich. Really?? This is a concern, because if our players are getting giddy at our mid-table position, then how are we going to react when if we actually get into the top six? This is a ridiculous situation. I would say that every player in a squad should have something to prove because up until now, unless having money in the bank is your prime motivation, none of them ( with the expection of JJ's England caps) have ever done anything of note. I would go further than that and say that none of them have come close to fullfilling their potential (including JJ). I don't buy the 3-5 promotion plan. The al Hasawis want promotion this year. Life in football is too short. Life in general is too short to talk about wanting to be competitve in 3-5 years time. We have to be competing this year, and anything less, given the backing of our new owners, is not acceptable. Last night was an appalling excuse for a performance. Forget the individual mistakes, it's blatantly obvious that our defence is worth what we've paid for it. Not much. Bankers who handle counterfeit money will tell you that you that if you're handling the real stuff everyday , when a fake note pops up it's pretty obvious. This is the curse and the blessing of being a long suffering Forest fan. Many of us have been around long enough to know the real deal when we see it, and unfortunately, there are elements of this team that Sean's building that aren't it. You can give them all the time in the world, but if you can't do the simple stuff well, then all you're doing is trying to polish turds.

One bad performance and people are panicking .. it's pathetic if you ask me, fair enough performances like last night are unacceptable, but they happen. Look at Cardiff, sat at the top of the table but got absolutely turned over at our place. These kind of results happen, but to come out and start shouting about our poor defence, manager etc is ridiculous. Like Goach says, we're very near the play offs in November. This is great imo, and hopefully we can push onwards and upwards, especially in January when SOD will know exactly what he needs to change with the squad, and hopefully will.

People on twitter last night shouting for SODs head are a joke. An absolute pathetic joke. Why we seem to have so many of these moaning whinging idiots is beyond me, who are not happy unless they have a scapegoat(s) to vent their frustration at. Wish they'd get behind the team rather than using all their energy criticising it.

It's fookinbillynomates hoons that's the issue. First opportunity after a bad night at the office and he is in there.

The club is building nicely and we will get nights like those last night.

People should chill and enjoy the ride even if it is a bit bumpy

As I say time and time again as you decide to have a go time and time again, go to the games instead of sitting at home and you will see what we mean!

Everbody needs to calm down & get a grip. Ok last night was shocking to say the least and brought back many bad memories of last season.

All teams have games when they look more like relegation fodder than promotion candidates and the fact that the Tractor Boys are down near the bottom only reinforced to me that we would lose. (Oh and Andy D'Urso was in charge. We've lost the last 2-3 games he was reffing)

Will will go up this season? Who knows. Will it matter so much if we don't as long as we better last season's position.
IMO a top 10 finish is a must. Anything above that is brilliant and remember, we're still in a better position than this time last season and we're still above the sheep so look on the bright side people.

It wasn't good enough last night. Nothing wrong with saying that.

A few more nights like that and the gaffer could be in trouble. All this talk of building and looking at where we were last season is fine but I'm not sure the owners or some of our new players see it like that.

Couldn't go last night. Bit of a long trip on a Tuesday with work committments and all that. Watched Wolves online and saw very little wrong with our display.

As for home games, you can currently see me in Block N upper Clough

Davies has had his day and will not be back at this club of ours regardless of how well he did before. It is about time you let it go

Hoons, Strett, Webbo, Sutton glad some of you are making sense. I felt like I was the only one able to take some perspective last night.

Anyone calling for SoD's head really needs to sit back and think about how far we've come as a club in the last 4-5 months. Think how new this team is, how many loan players we have, the fact that it's still November, our league position, etc etc. We can't expect to be taking this league by storm. We aren't that good and there are plenty of other good sides in the league. We are going to play poorly at times and if we're honest we haven't played that well since the first few games. If and when we do hit some form, we'll hopefully go on a good run. But in the meantime we're doing quite well to stay with the pack. But it is going to take time and clearly SoD hasn't got everything right.

I don't blame the Derby fans for finding this amusing - I would too in their position. It's emabarrassing really for fans to start calling for the manager's head at this point. Even to question him, when a few weeks ago, the same fans were praising him and saying we would take the league by storm, is ridiculous. No wonder they say we're fickle. They're right. Of course, you're entitled to an opinion but it needs to be based on some shred of realism and perspective.

We seem to struggle against long-ball teams; McCarthy's Ipswich and NLN's derby being a case in point.

We'll get it together. Still early days and we're already looking far more promising than the sheep.

Sheepy

That should be: "two cases in point".

Or: "a case in two points"

As opposed to Forest last night, which was: "a case of no points"

A had an elderly female patient who told me how she used to go out and collect giant poofball mushrooms from the hills as a girl. They are apparently delicious and highly prized for their flavour. She had the gift for discovering them, she told me, and earned the nickname "poof-knack" as a result, on account of having the knack of sniffing out the poofballs.

Now you, Sheepy, probably find THAT homophobic, but it's just a sweet story about a sweet old lady.
