Would like snow on Christmas, but I hate the depressing weather in the UK, so hot weather is nice.

Picture this: You are downtown and walk outside. You see strange flakes falling from the sky and they are not soot.

Weather records attest that it actually happened in Phoenix at noon Nov. 19, 1919. Yes, snow fell in Phoenix that day and time — a whole 0.1 inch!

Took me 5 hours to walk to Phoenix from Scottsdale.

That seems a long time. It's only 11 miles.

Was in July, fookin hot.

Ah shoot. Fair play. That's some serious walking.

The 2001 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday 7 June 2001, four years after the previous election on 1 May 1997, to elect 659 members to the House of Commons. Under the leadership of Tony Blair, the Labour Party was re-elected to serve a second term in government with another landslide victory, returning 413 of the 418 seats won by the party in the previous general election, a net loss of 5 seats, though with a significantly lower turnout than before—59.4%, compared to 71.3% at the previous election. Blair went on to become the first Labour Prime Minister to serve a consecutive full term in office. It was dubbed "the quiet landslide" by the media.

Chelsea survived a late scare to move into the Champions League knockout stages with victory over Lille at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard's side were in complete control for the most part and set up the victory they required with first-half goals from Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea's nerves were frayed when former striker Loic Remy pulled one back for Lille late on but they were able to close out victory to reach the last 16 after finishing a tough group in second place behind Valencia but ahead of last season's semi-finalists Ajax.

Although they did not gain many seats, three of the few new MPs elected were future Conservative Prime Ministers David Cameron and Boris Johnson and future Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne; who would serve in the same Cabinet as Cameron from 2010-16.

Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt were among the stars of that team to leave last summer and they have not been the same since.

Two defeats at home - by Chelsea and Valencia - and a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge have ultimately cost them.

Inter Milan was knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday with a 2-1 home loss to an under-strength Barcelona side. Teenager Ansu Fati scored the winner for Barcelona four minutes from time after Inter forward Romelu Lukaku had cancelled out the opener from Champions League debutant Carles Pérez.

Myanmar Rohingya: Suu Kyi rejects genocide claims in UN court

Ms Suu Kyi - once celebrated internationally as a champion of democracy - has been de facto leader of Myanmar since April 2016, before the alleged genocide began. She does not have control over the army but has been accused by the UN investigator of "complicity" in the military clearances.

The leather jacket Olivia Newton-John wore in Grease has been given back to the actor by the man who bought it from her at auction for $243,200 (£185,000).

The Australian sold the black jacket and other possessions in November, with part of the proceeds going to her cancer research centre.

But the anonymous buyer has now handed it back to a "grateful" Newton-John.

Napoli have sacked manager Carlo Ancelotti less than three hours after he guided them into the Champions League knockout stages.

The Serie A club had not won in nine games in all competitions until Tuesday's 4-0 success at home to Genk.

Ancelotti was in his second season in charge of Napoli but they sit seventh in the league after that poor run.

Apart from the fact that the unsinkable sank, what is it about Titanic that has kept it in the public consciousness? Its vast size, for a start.

Glasgow Warriors back Tommy Seymour has announced he is retiring from Scotland duty after earning 55 caps on what he describes as "an amazing journey".

The Nashville-born 31-year-old is the second member of this summer's World Cup squad to make such a decision.

Edinburgh's John Barclay called it a day earlier this month after 76 caps.

Seymour, who has spent most of his career on the wing, is Scotland's fourth-top try scorer, crossing the line 20 times in a six-year spell during which he has been at two World Cups and represented the British and Irish Lions on their 2017 tour to New Zealand.

An Irish youth cap on account of moving to Belfast when he was young, Seymour qualified for Scotland through his Glasgow-born mother and made his international debut two years after joining Glasgow in 2011.

"Playing for Scotland has been the greatest honour," he said. "It was in every way a dream come true and an amazing journey to share with friends, family and Scotland supporters.

"I have been fortunate enough to play with some of the greatest players this country has ever produced and even more fortunate that in some I have found friends for life."

Arsenal have confirmed Scotland full-back Kieran Tierney dislocated a shoulder in Monday's win at West Ham.

The £25m signing from Celtic was forced off half an hour into his third Premier League start after falling awkwardly and is "undergoing further assessment".

Tierney, 22, had to wait until late September for his Arsenal debut after a double hernia operation in May.

His last cap was 14 months ago against Israel, who Scotland face in their Euro 2020 play-off semi-final in March.

In addition to swelling and severe pain, a dislocated shoulder can cause muscle spasms. These uncontrollable movements can worsen your pain. The pain may also move up and down your arm, starting at your shoulder and moving up toward your neck.
