Former Belgian King Albert II has admitted he is the father of a woman born from an affair, after he was forced to give a DNA test which came back positive.

He had been fighting the paternity claim by Belgian artist Delphine Boël, 51, for more than a decade.

He lost his immunity from prosecution after he abdicated in 2013 due to ill health.

Ms Boël's lawyer said the admission from the former king was a "relief".

• In 1999 the UK minimum wage was £3.60 per hour (p/h), so at 1999 prices you could buy 72 5p Freddos with one hour of wages

• In the 2017 tax year the minimum wage (now dubbed the National Living Wage) was £7.50 p/h, however with Freddo prices having risen to 25p you could only buy 30 of them with one hour’s wage

• To redress the balance, Watt proposed increasing the minimum wage to £18 p/h, that way you could still purchase 72 Freddos with your hourly wage, a smashing haul!

ITV has apologised after Jonathan Ross suggested a singer who died five years ago could be one of the celebrities on The Masked Singer.

After the performance of the celebrity dressed as Daisy on Saturday, Ross guessed that the US singer-songwriter Natalie Cole could be the performer.

But Cole - daughter of Nat King Cole - died in 2015 at the age of 65.

ITV said: "This was a genuine mistake by the panel. We apologise if this caused any upset to viewers."

So the Iowa Caucus is a week away now, which may tell us the story on how the democratic primary will go. I’m not going to make individual state predictions even though I have my suspicions, but I do kind of have a general sense on where the presidential race is going. So, from the remaining 12 candidates: Michael Bennet, John Delaney, and Deval Patrick are completely irrelevant.

Which really leaves Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. Exactly where we were a year ago. These two has been consistent with their numbers in the polls, and whether you like it or not, it’s likely to be a two person race at this point. However, I still don’t know who the nominee will be yet. I think we’ll have to wait till Super Tuesday for a clearer picture on the state of the race...

Using salary as a judge of how skilled a job is is grotesquely flawed. Taken to extremes it suggests a hedge fund manager is 20x as skilled as a surgeon.

Salary should not be considered at all beyond ability to support yourself and your family. We urgently need some sort of points scheme instead.
