Patrick Gordon Stanton (born 13 September 1944) is a Scottish former football player and manager.
Stanton played for Hibernian for most of his career, making nearly 400 league appearances. Late in his career, he had a short and successful spell with Celtic. Stanton also made 16 appearances for Scotland. After retiring as a player, he assisted Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen and managed Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline Athletic and Hibernian.
Legendary Brazil forward Pele is reluctant to leave his house because he cannot walk unaided, his son has said.
The three-time World Cup winner, widely regarded as the greatest player of all time, was taken to hospital with a urinary infection last year.
Pele, 79, has had problems with his hip for some time and now needs a frame to walk, with many of his recent public appearances in a wheelchair.
"He is very sheepish, reclusive," his son Edinho told TV Globo.
Pele scored a world record total of 1,281 goals in 1,363 appearances during his 21-year career, including 77 goals in 91 appearances for Brazil.
His health has been a concern in recent years and he had prostate surgery in 2015 after he was admitted to hospital for the second time in six months.
This June marks the 50th anniversary of Pele's final World Cup title, won in Mexico with what many believe to be the greatest team of all time.

Diners consume noni at three stages of ripeness. In Mexico, for instance, you may find roadside vendors blending unripe noni into their juices. At this stage, the fruit’s flavor is the most tolerable: spicy and grassy, with hints of horseradish and parmesan.
The fruit is most commonly consumed when fully ripe. At this stage, the outside turns white and feels soft and smooth, while the flavor develops into a combination of sharp cheese, lemon, and vomit. The few who consume overripe noni heavily dilute it. The brown, fermented fruit is too foul to consume on its own.
First Half ends, Barnsley 0, Birmingham City 0.
Second Half begins Barnsley 0, Birmingham City 0.

"the action of chewing," early 15c., masticacioun, from Old French masticacion and directly from Latin masticationem (nominative masticatio), noun of action from past-participle stem of masticare "to chew" (source of Old French maschier, French mâcher), which is probably from a Greek source related to mastikhan "to gnash the teeth," from PIE *mendh- "to chew" (see mandible), though Beekes suggests the group may be of Pre-Greek origin.

You have to laugh - just have to. It’s that or lose the will to live.
Let’s just hope we get enough lads into the side who’ll at least give it a go in L1 next season.
