Bala Town are in the Europa League second round for the first time in their history thanks to Chris Venables' winner against Valletta in Malta.
The Lakesiders are in the competition for the sixth time.
Venables scored in the opening period and goalkeeper Alex Ramsay saved a penalty as the visitors held on.
Bala were knocked out by Tre Fiore of San Marino in the preliminary round in 2018, thanks to a 3-0 away leg loss, but there was no let-down this time.
The Lakesiders qualified for Europe after they finished third in the curtailed 2019-20 Cymru Premier season.
Leo Smith and Adrian Cieslewicz scored in extra time against MŠK Žilina to send The New Saints into the second round of Europa League qualifying at Park Hall.
Louis Robles rewarded the hosts' first-hour pressure with a headed flick from a corner after the break.
But Patrik Myslovic levelled from the penalty spot and the score remained level until the end of normal time.
Smith struck after 100 minutes and Cieslewick's penalty sealed the win.
Saints went into the encounter hoping to progress after last season's disappointment and having had to settle for second in the Cymru Premier and a Europa League spot after the 2019-20 season was halted because of the coronavirus pandemic.

For the last 3 years, Chelsea have been a soft touch. They play nice attacking football but are pretty awful at the back, and seem to crumble under pressure. They only seem to have one way of playing. I actually like Lampard and think he overachieved last season with Chelsea, mainly due to Leicester’s and Wolves’ end of season collapses. You can’t hold that against them because they did what was needed to obtain CL football, but any other season their tally wouldn’t have got them top 4. The last team to finish 4th with a lower points tally was Everton in 2005!

"I don't know if that's controversial or not, but I think it's disrupting everything."
