"Glenn was such an unassuming, kind gentleman who demonstrated lifelong dedication to the game. Not one to court headlines, his commitment and application to his work at all levels warrants special mention.

"Football has lost a great servant today and our sincere condolences go to Glenn's family and friends."

Roeder led West Ham to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League in 2002 before he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2003.

He had to have surgery and a period of recovery before returning to the dugout in July the same year.

Roeder's last role in the game was as a managerial advisor at Stevenage in 2016.

"Glenn achieved so much throughout his lifelong career in the game," said LMA chief executive Richard Bevan.

"After retiring as a player, he became one of the country's most respected coaches, working across all levels of the professional game, in senior and academy football, and acting as a trusted advisor to many coaches and players.

"At every club, he chose to develop new talent and to give opportunities to the younger players in his charge."

A couple and child who had set up camp on a dangerous cliff edge prompted a call out by police and the coastguard.

They were found in a tent in an area known for landslips along the Cleveland Way in North Yorkshire on Saturday.

Coastguard rescue officers from Staithes and Whitby were sent and gave "safety advice due to the dangerous location of their tent".

Police were also called because the family had breached Covid rules by travelling there, the coastguard said.

Championship side Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Moore as their new manager.

Wednesday have been managerless since 28 December, when Tony Pulis was sacked after 10 matches at the helm with the club 23rd in the table.

Moore, 46, had been in charge of League One Doncaster since July 2019 and departs with them sixth despite a run of four defeats in five games.

Andy Butler, 37, has been named Rovers boss until the end of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday's 3-2 defeat against Luton Town on Saturday, their fourth successive loss, left them six points from safety.

Former Jamaica defender Moore - who played for Doncaster, Bradford City, Portsmouth, West Bromwich Albion, Derby County, Barnsley and Burton Albion - took over as West Brom boss, initially on a caretaker basis, when they were in the Premier League in April 2018.

He could not save the club from relegation and was sacked by the Baggies in March 2019, when they were fourth in the Championship.

Leading Irish trainer Gordon Elliott has been temporarily banned from racing in Britain after being pictured sitting on a dead horse.

Elliott, 43, has apologised after the photograph circulated on social media.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) has started an investigation and the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has banned him until it is completed.

"It is an interim decision which the BHA regards as proportionate in these circumstances," it said.

Elliott, who is one of the sport's most successful trainers after Grand National and Cheltenham triumphs, said in a statement

that he took a phone call and sat down on the horse "without thinking".

He added the image was taken "some time ago".

The BHA said it was "appalled" by the photograph, adding Elliott's behaviour "deeply undermined" the industry's welfare values.

"We can't say we're looking after horses and giving them dignity when we're clearly not," eight-time champion jump jockey Peter Scudamore told BBC Sport.

"There are people out there who don't like the sport and I can't argue with them when I see a picture like that."

Abbaye de Belloc is a flat wheel-shaped traditional, farmhouse, unpasteurised, semi-hard cheese made from sheep's milk. It has a natural, crusty, brownish rind with patches of red, orange and yellow. The rind is marked with tiny craters.

The cheese has a firm, dense, rich and creamy texture. The taste resembles burnt caramel and there is a distinctive lanolin aroma. Ageing process of the cheese ranges from four to ten months. The younger wheels are made in December while the older in July. Both types of cheese wheels are sent to the market in April.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says it is the "right time" for the UK and Republic of Ireland to launch a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

The UK government will reportedly pledge £2.8m to kick-start the process in Wednesday's Budget.

The football associations of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland say they are "delighted" with the government's commitment.

"We are very, very keen to bring football home in 2030," Johnson said.

In an interview with the Sun, he added:

"I do think it's the right place. It's the home of football, it's the right time. It will be an absolutely wonderful thing for the country.

"We want to see a bonanza of football in the years ahead."

A feasibility study will continue before the formal World Cup bidding process begins in 2022.

Nicola Sturgeon is facing calls to resign after new documents raised further questions about her involvement in the Alex Salmond saga.

The government has published emails showing it continued a legal fight with Mr Salmond despite its lawyers advising it was likely to lose.

Further evidence from two other witnesses has also called into question Ms Sturgeon's version of events.

Ms Sturgeon is to face a Holyrood inquiry into the affair on Wednesday.

The Scottish Conservatives said there was "no longer any doubt that Nicola Sturgeon lied to the Scottish Parliament and broke the ministerial code on numerous counts."

The party said they would be submitting a motion of no confidence in the first minister.

Caviar is one specific type of roe, but there is no such thing as “red caviar,” as salmon roe is sometimes called. The proper name is simply salmon roe, as salmon and sturgeon are entirely different breeds of fish.

The 2021 Rugby World Cup is set to be postponed until next year following a recommendation by governing body World Rugby.

The tournament is currently scheduled to be hosted in New Zealand between 18 September and 16 October.

A final decision is expected after the Rugby World Cup board and World Rugby's executive committee consider the recommendation on 8 and 9 March.

World Rugby said the "challenging Covid landscape" influenced its decision.

It added: "It is just not possible to deliver the environment for all teams to be the best that they can be."

Also remember the Tories cut the higher rate income tax rate. They also scrapped the 10% income tax rate for low earners. State pensions have had a triple lock guarantee while the rest of the nation has gone through a decade of austerity. Its time the pensioners realised we are supposed to be in this together. My wife is 32 and we are still chipping away at her student loans, the government also sold the student loan company to private hands. It would be great to invest more in to pensions but the majority can't because you start your career in tens of thousands of debt and also need to save 2 years salary for a house deposit these days. Its hard to squeeze much more from the younger generations now.

The Amazon river runs for thousands of miles. At some points it runs through areas of the rain forest that are almost untouched and have been barely explored. Because of the porous limestone in these areas, the river water leaks through the stone and travels deep into the earth, and forms new underground pools almost a mile below the surface. Over thousands of years, small blind transparent fish have lived and evolved in these pools. These fish have never seen the sun or surface and have never been seen by the human eye. . . . These fish care more about this than I do.
