Marks & Spencer is to launch 46 new websites in overseas markets from Iceland to Uzbekistan, as part of moves to grow its online business.

It expands the retailer's online reach to more than 100 countries, offering M&S clothing and homeware.

The firm said the expansion would enable it to capitalise on growth without considerable upfront costs.

Last year, M&S posted its first loss in its 94 years as a publicly-listed company as coronavirus hit store sales.

"Our international business has seen strong online growth since the start of the pandemic as increasing numbers of customers choose to shop through our range of flagship websites," said Paul Friston, international director at M&S.

Online e-commerce sales were up 75% according to its latest interim results, as overall losses across the business reached £87.6m in the six months to 26 September.

M&S is in the midst of a wide-reaching transformation programme which last year saw 7,000 job cuts across stores and management.

Piers Morgan has left ITV's Good Morning Britain following a row over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex.

It brings the controversial host's time on the breakfast show to an end after six years.

ITV announced the decision after Ofcom said it was investigating his comments after receiving 41,000 complaints.

On Monday's show, Morgan said he "didn't believe a word" the duchess had told Oprah Winfrey in an interview.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."

His departure followed an on-air clash with weather presenter Alex Beresford, who criticised Morgan on Tuesday for "continuing to trash" the duchess, prompting Morgan to walk off set. He returned within 10 minutes.

You have to go all the way back to Manuel Pellegrini's days for the last time Manchester City lost consecutive home league games.

Having been beaten 3-1 by Leicester on 6 February 2016, City lost 2-1 to Tottenham eight days later at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola has never lost back-to-back home league games in his managerial career.

Championship side Coventry City have signed a 10-year contract to return to the Ricoh Arena from next season.

The club have agreed a deal with rugby union side Wasps, who own the ground, having played their home matches at Birmingham's stadium since August 2019.

The Sky Blues will stay at St Andrew's for the rest of the 2020-21 campaign.

"The day our fans are able to come back and watch their team in Coventry is one they will be already looking forward to," said chief executive Dave Boddy.

"We look forward to building a positive and co-operative relationship with Wasps Group over the term of this agreement, the length of which allows us stability as a club as we look to continue our progress on and off the field."

Boddy added that the deal is "the best Coventry has had at the Ricoh Arena in terms of access to commercial revenues".

Equalities minister Kemi Badenoch should "consider her position", a former member of the government's LGBT+ advisory panel has said.

Jayne Ozanne quit the panel, along with two other advisers, over delays in banning conversion therapy.

She told the BBC Ms Badenoch did not understand the LGBT+ community and should stand aside for someone who "had more heart for the work".

The government vowed to produce a plan to "end" conversion therapy "shortly".

Campaigners want legislation banning the controversial practise, which aims to change sexual orientation or gender identity.

Downing Street has repeated it was considering "both legislative and non-legislative options" to "bring an end to" it.

But, asked if that means it may end up with measures short of a ban, a spokesman refused to go further.

Retail giant John Lewis has warned of further "painful" store closures after the pandemic saw it report its first ever annual loss.

The group swung to a loss of £517m for the year to January, against profits of £146m the previous year.

The retailer said it "does not expect" all of its department stores to reopen once lockdown restrictions ease.

It has previously been reported the chain was considering closing up to eight more stores to try to cut costs.

Any further closures would be in addition to eight already announced in 2020.

The firm, which has 42 John Lewis shops, said talks with landlords are ongoing and it will make a final decision about the "small number" of shops to close at the end of March.
