Douglas Noel Adams (11 March 1952 – 11 May 2001) was an English author, screenwriter, essayist, humorist, satirist and dramatist. Adams was author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which originated in 1978 as a BBC radio comedy, before developing into a "trilogy" of five books that sold more than 15 million copies in his lifetime and generated a television series, several stage plays, comics, a video game, and in 2005 a feature film. Adams's contribution to UK radio is commemorated in The Radio Academy's Hall of Fame.

Leicester have only won two of their 29 Premier League fixtures against Manchester United.

The Foxes' solitary win in their past 22 top-flight visits to Old Trafford came on 31 January 1998, when Tony Cottee scored the only goal.

The Red Devils have scored in the subsequent 23 league matches between the sides since that defeat, which is their longest Premier League scoring streak against a single opponent.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has suffered ankle ligament damage, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed.

He was using crutches and was wearing a protective boot in the stands at Old Trafford on Tuesday as his side took on Leicester City in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old will now aim to be fit for United's Europa League final against Villarreal on 26 May.

England manager Gareth Southgate names his Euro 2020 squad on 25 May.

He suffered the injury in United's win at Aston Villa on Sunday.

"Obviously we've had scans and the good news is there's no fracture," Solskjaer said.

"[There is] ligament damage and hopefully we'll see him again this season. Hopefully ready for the final."

Tuesday's match against Leicester was the first top-flight match Maguire had missed since joining United in 2019.

Thailand obtained first win in the AFC Asian Cup in 2007 and had to wait 47 years to finally sneak out of the group stage in 2019. Thailand had competed twice in the Summer Olympics.

Five AFF Championship trophies and nine senior-level gold medals of Southeast Asian Games all but reinforced Thailand's foothold as the most successful football team in Southeast Asian region. Apart from earning third place in the 1972 AFC Asian Cup and fourth-place finishes in the 1990 and 1998 Asian Games, the team never won any cup or gold medal in the continental and global competitions.

During the time Indonesia was a recognizable ASEAN football power, matches between two teams often attract large fan attentions. Indonesia has met Thailand in three finals of the AFF Championship at 2000, 2002 and 2016, and Thailand all triumphed at the expense of Indonesia. However, while Thailand was able to elevate its position to become a more serious Asian competitor, Indonesia fell into mismanagement and matches between two teams also began to lose its importance. Most recent encounter between two countries happens in the 2022 World Cup qualification, where Thailand easily thrashed Indonesia 3–0 away.

Tributes have been paid to actor Norman Lloyd, who worked with Alfred Hitchcock and later appeared in medical drama St Elsewhere, following his death at 106.

Judd Apatow, who directed him in 2015's Trainwreck, said Lloyd had "loved to tell stories and make people laugh".

"What a career," said Ben Stiller of an actor whose films included Dead Poets Society, Charlie Chaplin's Limelight and Scorsese's The Age of Innocence.

He also played Dr Daniel Auschlander on six seasons of St Elsewhere.

Born Norman Perlmutter in New Jersey in 1914, Lloyd began his career on stage and was a member of Orson Welles' famed Mercury Theatre company in the 1930s.

One of his earliest films was Alfred Hitchcock's 1942 thriller Saboteur, in which his titular German spy falls to his death from the top of New York's Statue of Liberty.

Hitchcock cast him again in his 1945 film Spellbound and subsequently hired him to direct and produce episodes of his Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV series.

He was cast in Chaplin's 1952 film Limelight after developing a friendship with the Hollywood legend based on their mutual love of tennis.

His role as stern headmaster Mr Nolan in 1989's Dead Poets Society saw him work alongside Robin Williams and a young Ethan Hawke.

Writing on Instagram, Apatow said Hawke had learned "a giant lesson" from Lloyd telling him to "pay attention" and appreciate how special that film was.

The British and Irish Lions' warm-up Test against Japan will be shown on Channel 4 as live coverage of the team returns to terrestrial television for the first time since 1993.

As well as the match at Murrayfield on 26 June, Channel 4 will also show highlights of all three Tests against world champions South Africa.

Lions managing director Ben Calveley said he was delighted at the news.

The Japan fixture will be the Lions' first home game since 2005.

Head coach Warren Gatland has named a 37-man squad - captained by Wales' Alun Wyn Jones - for the tour of South Africa.

The Lions were set to play eight games across six locations, but this schedule is likely to be changed to reduce the amount of travelling required because of disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The final schedule is expected to be confirmed this week.
