Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out of this summer's European Championship because of a knee injury.

The 39-year-old was recalled to the Sweden squad in March after coming out of international retirement.

A post on Sweden's official Twitter account said Ibrahimovic had told coach Janne Andersson he could not play at Euro 2020 because of his injury.

He suffered the problem playing for AC Milan in a win at Juventus on 9 May.

Ibrahimovic, who has netted 62 times for Sweden and is his country's record goalscorer, was substituted after 66 minutes during the 3-0 victory over Juve.

He marked his return to international football after a five-year absence with an assist when Sweden beat Georgia in a World Cup 2022 qualifier in March.

Steven Gerrard says Rangers has "grabbed" him and is a club "like very few in the world" after his side lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy.

A thumping 4-0 victory over Aberdeen completed an unbeaten league season and sparked what the manager expects to be a "messy" few days of celebrations.

It is a first top-flight title in a decade for the Ibrox club and a first trophy in Gerrard's three-year stint.

"As a kid, I thought it was one club for life," he told Sky Sports.

"I've come through at Liverpool and had a career there which I'm immensely proud of. I came up here with my eyes wide open to learn about the club.

"I had a good idea from the outside but this has grabbed me. It's a club like very few in the world. This has got a special place in my heart. I'm happy here. I had to make a lot of sacrifices family wise, but I want more.

"I wanted to enjoy this moment because it's been a long time since I've smelled this success and the Champagne. I absolutely stink right now but it feels really good and I want more of it."

The 2007 FA Cup Final was played on Saturday, 19 May 2007 between Chelsea and Manchester United. It was the 126th FA Cup Final and the first to be played at the new Wembley Stadium. Manchester United suffered a 1–0 defeat to Chelsea by Didier Drogba's extra time goal, completing a domestic cup double for the Blues in the 2006–07 season, as they had already won the League Cup Final in February. Manchester United were favourite for winning a double of their own as they had recently beaten Chelsea to the Premier League title two weeks earlier. The game was widely considered to be a disappointment by pundits and fans alike.

The 2004 FA Cup Final was the 123rd FA Cup Final and the fourth to be played at the Millennium Stadium, the Welsh national stadium in Cardiff, due to the ongoing reconstruction of the usual venue, London's Wembley Stadium. The match took place on 22 May 2004 and it was contested by Manchester United, who had finished third in the Premier League that season, and Millwall, who had finished 10th in the First Division.

Manchester United secured a record 11th FA Cup victory with a headed goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and a brace from Ruud van Nistelrooy, which included a penalty kick. In contrast, it was Millwall's first appearance in a final of either the FA Cup or the Football League Cup. At the trophy presentation after the match, the Manchester United players wore shirts bearing the name and number of midfielder Jimmy Davis, who died in a road accident in August 2003.

A tiger's eye has been saved in what is believed to be the first ever operation of its type in the world on a big cat.

Ratna, a 17-year-old Sumatran tiger, lives at Shepreth Wildlife Park near Cambridge.

Staff noticed her left eye - which had previously had a cataract removed - was deteriorating and a corneal ulcer was diagnosed by a specialist eye vet.

Corneal surgery, which is not uncommon on domestic cats and dogs, required "a lot more anaesthetic" on Ratna.

Surgeon Dr David Williams, from the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital at the University of Cambridge, said after two months of careful monitoring, he was "delighted to be able to sign Ratna off" as fully healed.

The tiger had cataract surgery before she and her daughter were moved to the wildlife park in early 2019 to live out their twilight years.

Tottenham boosted their hopes of qualifying for the Europa League with a comfortable Premier League win over Wolves.

Spurs, who are five points adrift a top-four place, leapfrog West Ham into sixth on goal difference, with Everton, who play later on Sunday, three points further back.

It was a deserved victory for the hosts who hit the woodwork three times after creating a number of excellent chances.

Harry Kane, who saw an early effort cannon off the left-hand post, set Spurs on their way, calmly slotting in the opener from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's superb pass on the stroke of half-time.

While Wolves carried a threat on the break they were forced to ride their luck at times, with Kane and Dele Alli both hitting the right-hand post within seconds of each other.

And Hojbjerg unsurprisingly doubled Spurs' advantage, reacting first after Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio had parried a Gareth Bale effort to slide the ball into the bottom right corner.
