Casemiro scored deep into stoppage time to give hosts Brazil a controversial win over Colombia in the Copa America.

An acrobatic volley by Luis Diaz gave Colombia an early lead in their final Group B game in Rio de Janeiro.

Roberto Firmino's late equaliser was allowed to stand despite the ball hitting the referee moments earlier, sparking lengthy protests by Colombia.

And in the 10th minute of added time, Casemiro headed in from a Neymar corner to maintain Brazil's 100% record.

Brazil were struggling to draw level when Neymar's wayward pass forward struck Nestor Pitana, who took charge of the 2018 World Cup final.

The Argentine referee put his whistle to his mouth but allowed play to continue once Lucas Paqueta had played the ball wide to Renan Lodi, whose first-time cross was headed in by Liverpool forward Firmino.

There was a lengthy stoppage as Colombia players remonstrated with Pitana, before and after the video assistant referee let the goal stand.

The rules state that if the ball touches the referee and goes directly into the goal, results in a change of possession or a promising attack, a dropped ball should be awarded.

Steve Clarke remains committed to the Scotland job following their Euro 2020 exit, says Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell.

The Scots, who have been under Clarke's charge for 24 games, lost both Hampden fixtures in Group D, their only point coming in the 0-0 draw with England.

Scotland's next match is a World Cup qualifier in Denmark on 1 September.

"He was disappointed. But he's very focussed on learning from it," Maxwell told BBC Scotland.

"He's going to take a bit of time - he deserves a bit of a break to get his head around everything that has happened.

"We'll sit down and make an assessment. His words were, 'I'm going to take a bit of time and then I've got September to prepare for'."

Wales defender Connor Roberts says "99% of the world" will be supporting Denmark for their Euro 2020 last-16 tie in Amsterdam on Saturday.

Denmark have provided the uplifting story of the tournament, inspired by midfielder Christian Eriksen and his recovery from a cardiac arrest.

Although Wales are marginal underdogs for the game, Swansea full-back Roberts expects neutrals to back the Danes.

"It's going to be really tough but hopefully we can [win]," he said.

"Road Rage" is a song recorded by Welsh band Catatonia, taken from their second studio album, International Velvet (1998). It was written by band member Mark Roberts, with the production credit given generally to the band. "Road Rage" was released as the third single from the album, following their breakthrough success with the song "Mulder and Scully". The title "Road Rage" was based on the murder of Lee Harvey by his girlfriend Tracie Andrews in December 1996, something for which singer Cerys Matthews later apologised to Harvey's mother.

Jurors have failed to reach a decision about whether a PC assaulted footballer Dalian Atkinson during his arrest in 2016.

PC Mary Ellen Bettley-Smith, 31, denied assault after he had been tasered, saying her actions were necessary to stop him from getting up.

The former Aston Villa striker later died after the stand-off outside his father's home in Telford, Shropshire.

PC Benjamin Monk, 43, was convicted of manslaughter on Wednesday.

Last year more deaths than births were registered in the UK for the first time since 1976.

In total, just over 683,000 births were registered compared with nearly 690,000 deaths.

This was only the second time deaths have outnumbered births since the late 1890s.

The coronavirus epidemic led to a sharp rise in deaths last year but birth rates have also been falling for the last decade.

England midfielder Jordan Henderson says facing Germany in the European Championship last 16 will be a "special game" and is an "exciting" prospect.

England host the three-time European champions in front of about 40,000 spectators at Wembley on Tuesday.

It evokes memories of the Euro 96 semi-final which Germany won on penalties at the home of English football.

"It will be a very tough test. We need to stay focused and have no regrets." Henderson said.

"It's a special game for the players, for the fans - it's a big game and that's what you want to be playing in at these tournaments. It will be a very tough test."

Nintendo Selects (formerly Player's Choice) is a marketing label used by Nintendo to promote video games on current Nintendo game consoles that have sold well. In Japan, the discount label was introduced in 2015 for various Nintendo 3DS titles as the Happy Price Selection, although South Korea adopted the Nintendo Selects name at an earlier period.

Problems with a website that holds the details of more than nine million microchipped pets across the UK are persisting, according to users.

In March, a database upgrade on Petlog left many owners unable to see details of their registered pets.

Customers report the issues are continuing three months later.

Petlog told the BBC the problems affected only a very small number of customers.

But some of the site's users are angry and frustrated. Dog-owner James Bricknell told the BBC he had repeatedly filled in forms, as requested by Petlog, in order to be reunited with his dog's details but had heard nothing back.

Eventually he was told his details were incorrect and he needed to fill in a "keepership form". He was asked to pay a £17 fee even though he had updated his details on the website when he changed address.
