A man has been rescued in Alaska after desperately flagging down help having been attacked and harassed by a grizzly bear for a week.

US Coast Guard officials were alerted by an SOS message on a shack roof and spotted a man waving his arms in the air calling for help.

The man told them he had been attacked by a bear that kept returning to the remote encampment where he was staying.

He was found with chest bruising and an injured leg he had taped up.

The helicopter crew had been on their way to fly a team of scientists on a wildlife research mission when they were diverted off-course by weather and spotted the distress message.

The Femme Fatale Tour was the eighth concert tour by American entertainer Britney Spears. It was launched in support of her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale (2011). It was officially announced in March 2011, with dates for North American venues revealed. In July 2011, Spears announced plans of playing a South American leg in territories she either had never been to or had not played for a long time. Spears has named the Femme Fatale Tour the best show of her career.

In baseball, a pinch hitter is a substitute batter. Batters can be substituted at any time while the ball is dead (not in active play); the manager may use any player who has not yet entered the game as a substitute. Unlike basketball, American football or ice hockey, and in a similar way to association football, baseball does not have a "free substitution rule" (at the professional level) and thus the replaced player in baseball is not allowed back into that game. The pinch hitter assumes the spot in the batting order of the player whom he replaces.

Barnsley were elected to the 2nd division for the 1898/9 season and have only spent 36 seasons out of it (including the one in the Prem). A total of more than 70 seasons. Apart from the 60s and 70s when we spent 22 years in the 3rd and 4th divisions, we generally got promoted back to the 2nd division within a couple of seasons.
