Though parties registered with Elections Canada can field candidates in any riding they wish, the Bloc Québécois has never fielded candidates outside of Quebec (78 seats). Thus they currently cannot gain a majority in parliament.

Championship side Derby County are set to go into administration amid their continued financial problems.

The club, which is up for sale, said despite negotiations with a number of "credible parties", identifying a buyer was unlikely in the short term.

The English Football League confirmed they would face a 12-point deduction.

In a statement the Rams said Covid-19 had a "severe impact" on revenues and they "had no choice" but to appoint administrators to protect the club.

It claims the pandemic has cost them around £20m in lost revenue and left them "unable to service its day-to-day financial obligations".

"We cannot stress enough how devastating it is to be forced into this position," the board's statement said.

Brazil legend Pele says he is "recovering very well" after briefly being readmitted to intensive care following a recent operation.

The 80-year-old had surgery to remove a tumour from his colon this month and was initially released from intensive care on Wednesday.

Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital said he was readmitted "as a preventative measure".

"My friends, I am still recovering very well," Pele wrote on Instagram.

"Today I received visits from family members and I continue to smile every day. Thank you for all the love I get from you."

Pele's health has been a concern in recent years. He had prostate surgery in 2015 after he was admitted to hospital for the second time in six months, and he was admitted again for a urinary infection in 2019.

Pele is Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 77 goals in 92 games and one of only four players to have scored in four World Cup tournaments.

Pensioners who have just turned 66 have spoken of their stress and anger after failing to be paid their state pension.

Backlogs in processing applications at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) mean thousands of people have not received their entitlement on time.

One told the BBC she "wanted to cry" and "felt like she didn't count" after her payments were not made.

The department has apologised, blaming the pandemic and staffing issues for the delays.

Wolves' traditional kit consists of old gold shirts and socks and black shorts. Since 1979, the kit has also featured the club's "wolf's head" badge. Long-standing rivalries exist with other West Midlands clubs, the main one being the Black Country derby contested with West Bromwich Albion. The two clubs played one another during the 2020–21 season for the first time since 2011–12, the Premier League game on 16 January 2021 coming nearly nine years since the previous meeting on 12 February 2012.

Can you fail thesis defense? Originally Answered: Can you fail a pHD thesis defense? Yes, but it doesn't happen very often, because there are so many other things that you need to pass through before the defense. If you've done all the work and passed all the prereqs, the defense should be almost fun.
