Blackburn Rovers boss Valerien Ismael says that giving them three points from the abandoned Championship game against Ipswich Town would be the "fairest thing to do".
Ismael's side were 1-0 up courtesy of Todd Cantwell's second-half penalty and the Tractor Boys were playing with 10 men after Jacob Greaves was sent off when heavy rain forced the match to be called off.
With the pitch waterlogged, referee Steve Martin took the players off the pitch after 80 minutes and a decision on whether the game will be replayed in full is still to be made by the EFL board.
A decision is likely to be made by the end of this week.
"We've got the right to want the three points because it's the fair thing to do, especially when the opponent is down to 10," Ismael said in an interview on the club's YouTube channel., external
"Eleven versus 11 is another situation. We were clearly at an advantage and the data shows that we were on the front foot since the red card."

Sir Keir Starmer is expected to announce plans for a compulsory UK-wide digital ID scheme in a speech on Friday.
The prime minister believes it would help crack down on illegal working and modernise the state, according to senior figures in government.
The practicalities of the scheme will be subject to a consultation, which will also look at how to make it work for those without a smartphone or passport.
The previous Labour government's attempt to introduce ID cards was ultimately blocked by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition.
But earlier this month, Sir Keir said he thought the debate had "moved on" since then, adding: "We all carry a lot more digital ID now than we did 20 years ago".
Reports have suggested the government plans to use a new scheme to check people's right to live and work in the UK.
These checks are currently based on physical documents, although routes to complete the checks online for some people have existed since 2022.

Nottinghamshire have won the County Championship title, denying Surrey a fourth straight crown.
Division One leaders Notts picked up the two points they needed for the title by scoring 300 in their first innings against Warwickshire.
It is a first County Championship for Nottinghamshire since 2010 and ends three years of dominance by Surrey in the competition.
The East Midlands side, led by a rejuvinated Haseeb Hameed, took a huge step towards the title when they beat Surrey in the previous round of fixtures.
Hameed has enjoyed a superb 2025 with the bat and starred once again at Trent Bridge in bringing up his fourth century of the season.
Once the 28-year-old fell for 122 to leave them 218-5, South Africa wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne made sure the hosts would not have to wait until Friday to be crowned champions.
Verreynne's composed fifty took Notts past the 300 they required for two batting bonus points and ensured they could not be caught by second-placed Surrey.

US President Donald Trump has urged Turkey to stop buying oil from Russia, part of a wider drive to cut off Moscow's energy funding as the war in Ukraine rages on.
Speaking alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House, Trump said halting those imports would be "the best thing" his Turkish counterpart could do.
The Oval Office meeting ended without any firm commitments to lift US sanctions on Turkey or sell advanced F-35 fighter jets, although Trump expressed optimism about both issues.
Turkey has for years been prevented from buying US F-35s. In 2019 it was expelled from a programme where it produced parts for the warplane after it acquired air defence systems from Russia.
During a brief question-and-answer session alongside Erdogan in the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump said he would like Turkey to stop "buying any oil from Russia while Russia continues its rampage against Ukraine".
"The best thing he could do is not buy oil and gas from Russia," Trump said. "If he did that, that would be the best thing."
Trump added that he believes Erdogan is respected both by Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, meaning that he could "have a big influence" on the war "if he wants to".
Alongside India and China, Turkey is among Moscow's biggest customers for oil and gas exports.

Blackburn Rovers' Championship fixture against Ipswich Town is to be replayed in full following its abandonment on Saturday.
The fixture was called off in the 79th minute due to heavy rainfall at Ewood Park making the pitch unplayable, with Blackburn leading 1-0 courtesy of Todd Cantwell's second-half penalty.
Cantwell's goal will now no longer stand given the game will be replayed, but Ipswich defender Jacob Greaves, who was sent off, will still have to serve a suspension.
In a statement, the EFL said a board meeting comprehensively considered all options available in accordance with the regulations and that it was decided "by a majority" that the game should be replayed in full.
"The decision follows recent precedents relating to abandoned fixtures and is intended to uphold the integrity of the league competition which should, wherever possible, be based on a complete set of fixtures played to a conclusion on the day," the statement said.
"The board recognised that this was an incredibly difficult decision and agreed to consult clubs on the best approach to the development of new guidance to be considered in the event of a match abandonment."
In addition, the EFL said that three Championship directors abstained from the vote.
A new date for the fixture will be confirmed by the respective clubs in due course.

Sean "Diddy" Combs and his lawyers returned to New York federal court today to ask a judge to vacate his prostitution convictions or grant a new trial.
Judge Arun Subramanian adjourned the hearing and did not immediately rule on the defence's request.
The American music producer, who was accused of running a sprawling $ex trafficking operation, has been jailed since his arrest last September. He was convicted in July on two counts of prostitution.
Combs' lawyers argue his convictions were a misuse of the Mann Act - a federal law that was passed to combat human trafficking and $exual exploitation of women.

Digital ID will be mandatory in order to work in the UK, as part of plans to tackle illegal migration.
Sir Keir Starmer said the new digital ID scheme would make it tougher to work in the UK illegally and offer "countless benefits" to citizens, while his senior minister Darren Jones said it could be "the bedrock of the modern state".
However, opposition parties argued the proposals would not stop people crossing the Channel in small boats.
The prime minister set out his plans in a broader speech to a gathering of world leaders, in which he said it had been "too easy" for people to work illegally in the UK because the centre-left had been "squeamish" about saying things that were "clearly true".
Addressing the Global Progressive Action Conference in London - attended by politicians including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney - Sir Keir said it was time to "look ourselves in the mirror and recognise where we've allowed our parties to shy away from people's concerns".
"It is not compassionate left-wing politics to rely on labour that exploits foreign workers and undercuts fair wages," he said.
"The simple fact is that every nation needs to have control over its borders. We do need to know who is in our country."
In a conversation following his speech, Sir Keir said he wanted the next election to be an "open fight" between Labour and Reform UK.
In response to the prime minister's speech, Reform UK said the public was "waking up to the fact Starmer is just continuing the Tory legacy of high taxes and mass immigration".
Despite having only five MPs, Nigel Farage's Reform UK party has been leading in the opinion polls for several months.
The prime minister suggested facing the challenge of Reform would be a big focus when he addresses party members at the Labour Party conference next week.

England produced a dominant performance to defeat Canada at Twickenham and win the Women's Rugby World Cup for a third time.
In front of a record women's rugby crowd of 81,885, the Red Roses, who had lost the previous two finals to New Zealand, laid that ghost to rest with an assured display built on their power up front and ferocious defence.
The defeat by the Black Ferns in the previous World Cup final three years ago remains England's last loss as they extended their record winning run to 33 games.
Having conceded an early score to flying Canada winger Asia Hogan-Rochester, the hosts and tournament favourites responded through a sensational solo score by Ellie Kildunne.
Hooker Amy Cokayne and number eight Alex Matthews then crossed as John Mitchell's side took control of the final, with Sophie de Goede kicking a penalty to keep Canada within two scores.
Abbie Ward grabbed the first try of the second half before Hogan-Rochester bagged her second score.
However, Matthews' second try from close range, soon after brave defence had repelled Canada, sealed the game for the Red Roses.
Canada, who came into the final 95% of the way towards their million-dollar fundraising goal entitled 'Mission: Win Rugby World Cup' - which was set up to help them compete with the world's best-funded teams - comfortably defeated New Zealand in the semi-finals and arguably had played the best rugby in the tournament.
However, on the biggest stage when it mattered most, Mitchell's team outperformed the world's number two ranked side to become world champions for the first time since 2014 - when they also defeated Canada.
The result caps a memorable year for women's sport in England after football's Lionesses retained their European title at Euro 2025 in July.
