Most of the idiots who call deserve to be shouted down, Alen Green is a top man!

Chronic, you want me to blindly follow everything said.
Show me the evidence for each journo named.

I never said the list was wrong, i merely raised doubts about it.

Alan Green never sounds like he's enjoying his job. On Five Live I much prefer John Murray and Connor McNamara.

ok. so which in particular "arsenal supporting" journo are you questioning?

is there one in particular you dont think supports arsenal, for any reason?

of course the list may be wrong, thats why you will notice that in my article i asked if anyone disputes any of them, e.g. some journos have openly said who they support, and others it is obvious from twitter etc..

Isn't it Alan Green who always goes on about how it takes a while for the seats to fill up at The Emirates? How about you talk about the game you nob.

Surely misquoting or misrepresenting IS against the law? It sounds like libel to me.

It's not misquoting.

You could argue misrepresentation, but these reports are trivial and never likely to invoke legal action.

Here's a classic example someone told me about:

2002 world cup... Ferguson is asked at a press conference to predict the semi finalists. He obliged, but England weren't in the four.

The headline?

"Ferguson: England have no chance"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mis-representation and misconstruing of facts, reports etc is a recurring problem.

That is why certain celebs refuse to speak to the media, use inane networking sites - which begets its own problems - or are boring. Boring i.e. they offer monosyllabic answers, refuse to answer questions on personal issues etc.

The case above pretty much epitomises the way of the press in this country.

Neil Ashton - Crystal Palace

But you'd never think that. He's always writing articles about Chelsea

-----------------------------

Neil Ashton reminds me of that guy who was obsessed with Chelsea on the old 606, Corzillian I think his name was.

Has nobody pointed out that Patrick Barkley is a Chelsea Fan?

Yep - and for me, it's the biggest problem.

Breaking the law is a small percentage, and it is mostly dealt with.

But the sensationalising goes in across virtually all journalists. It's what influences politics more than politicians!

We wonder why we have politicians that won't answer questions or give straight answers? It's because the media will take a straight answer and turn it into a headline it probably doesn't mean.

And mud sticks.

I despise the media and what it stands for - reporting the news isn't enough to be competitive anymore, so big headlines have to be created even where there isn't one.

BBC Radio Five Live has some brilliant commentators and presenters. Take away Alan Green and Ian McGarry and it's even better.

Yeah talk about pointing out the obvious.

Ian McGarry is the worst journalist I've ever seen, I can't believe he works for a broadsheet as well.

Does anybody ever was the Sunday supplement? Holy is just a chubby, obnoxious Piers Morgan wannabe.

Shaun Custis always bugged me more than anyone else on that; a snide, domineering tõsspot of the highest order who would interrupt the points of anyone who attempted to disagree with him. Hypothetical sample:

Custis: Benitez is an awful manager.

Journo #2: Well he's not awful!

Custis: Prove it.

Journo #2: He's won the Champions Lea...

Custis: That was lucky and it wasn't his squad.

Journo #2: It can't have been all luck, he got Liverpool to the final in 2007 as w...

Custis: Large amounts of luck again, and he always prioritized the CL over the league.

Journo #3: Well he built the best Liverpool side for decades and...

Custis: He didn't win the league, though.

Journo #3: Well what about in Spain, where he won La Liga with Valen...

Custis: Doesn't count, it wasn't in the Premier League.

*Presenter changes topic before someone chins Custis for being an arrogant, confrontational caveman.

(Please note that I've no idea what Custis thought of Benitez, I'm just using Benitez as an example of a subject which divides opinion to show how Custis dismisses arguments he doesn't agree with and becomes increasingly rude for as long as a conversation continues).

I can imagine Custis doing that the self-loving, overly smug

It was one of the Custis brothers who started having a go at Guillem Balague on Twitter. He thought Guillem had copied their exclusive and passed it off as his own and started having a go at him when it wasnt even true. Bit of a bully.

the one that does my head in is Des Kelly and the ones he has on the press pass on talksport at 6pm on sundays.

i would be surprised if there are 15 braincells between them.

as i said in my article, James Olley of the evening standard does my head in with his swipes at spurs.

at least Tom Collomossee is there to give a balanced view on spurs. Olley is the chief football writer though, and loves sticking his muggy nose in to spurs' business.

journalists do not favour the clubs that they supported as children, they just cannot do their job properly if they do that.

After the Sun, TalkSport is the worst media outlet of them all. You could go down your local and listen to two guys sitting in the corner and get better insight.

agree on the whole although imo there a couple of good people.

danny kelly (not just because he is spurs) is quite balanced.

as is mark saggars and ian dante.

the problem is that you get too many idiots like darren gough, adrian durham, ronnie irani and that clown alan brazil on it.

Is that Neil Custis, the guy who writes for The Sun (enough said)?

He looks like somebody filled a large scrötum with rubble and got a 6 year old to draw a monster's face on it. A remarkably repulsive looking individual.
