Wasnt it great to see Richard Lewis squirming, his Welsh baby is dead. Good riddance to bad rubbish, now mr Lewis, do the decent thing and go with them

Craven.Agree with you 100%,but do you think it would have been wakefield if they hadn't withdrawn their application.? For me I agree with you Quins offer nothing at all.!!

Insidious, agree with you as well, now only quins to go.!

Carpet. I think it would have had to be wakey, but what if crusaders hadnt withdrawn their application, they kick wakey out and then crusaders go kaput would they have just re-instaed wakey.? Iam sure promotion and relegation was easier.! lol.

Yet another example of trying to expand the game into the Valleys which has failed........ when will they EVER learn? Wales = union.

we are talking about the RFL they do not learn they are probley looking at a new club in ireland nexst I hope not

Stupid decision taking it to North Wales. There aren't even any decent union clubs there, it's all Everton and Liverpool football. Lots of local League clubs in the South and players coming through. To be honest I agree with League trying to expand its appeal but inviting French clubs and London clubs in at the expense of sides like Widnes was a disgrace. Rugby League is a fantastic product but it seems the people at the top don't know how to push it forward.

The people who run RL should stop trying to expand into areas which patently aren't interested - that goes for Scotland, Ireland or Wales. It's a popular sport in the North - it's about time they realised that.

France seems to be a decent expansion though ....

If you think this time was interesting wait until 2014 application are made public.
In 2014 will the Tigers and Wildcats be playing out of new stadiums by then?
Will the RFL want 2 super League clubs playing out of one city?
What happens if Salfords gates don't rise when they move to Barton?

At least Crusaders got the right answer, Its not like we could rely on the RFL to get it right. Lets hope it prompts Quins to take a sensible decision and jack it in and then Fax can have their spot......... M62 Nirvana.

As a student on the university campus that the RaceCourse sits on (Glyndwr University), I must say Im gutted that they dropped out, yes they had a high loss/win rating, they didnt seem to develop as Im fully aware. Not to be the selfish one but Im worried as to what this could mean for my university's sports and exercise science studies, as we used the Celtic Crusaders as our team to test. This could have far more catastrophic implications rather than just wales not being involved in Rugby League nationide.

It is sad news, and I'm hopeful that they could produce a better squad for 2014.

I'm sorry that Wrexham has gone. The owners do not impress me but it was close to the RL heartland and yet gave Wales a team to support. As for those wanting Quins to go and hanker for Featherstone back, well your ancestors were probably smashing textile looms at the beginning of the industrial revolution. ;-0

78 years was never going to be long enough for a London experiment..........it just needs time.

Maybe if they moved to a bigger city.?

I don't remember Keighley fans getting much sympathy when they were shafted by the RFL in much worse manner than this.

Probably the most sensible post on here. The flat earthers and luddites...... well I'm real glad you ain't running the RFL.....

If you wanna go back, lets start in 1895 again and bring back the 22 teams that started it all......

I'm not sorry wrexham have gone, in fact I am pretty much made up in all honesty, its fax I feel sorry for, it appears that clubs just have to make the right noises to be given sl status these days, wonder what salfords was, they should go before quins and wakey imo

I suppose we'll only get the real squeals of anguish if the RFL cut someone like Bradford or Wigan to make room for a franchise in Inverness. Then Ned Ludd will really have his say.
We all know that tokenism was never going to work without a bit of substance thrown into the mix.
