I don't think he was guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
Again Ripley I didn't say I don't believe he is guilty. That's another matter. I said I believe he would be found not guilty in a court of law.
didn't someone punch a donkey or is that probably punched a donkey?
Furthermore just because I accept something doesn't mean I agree with it. I just agree that it's possible to reach that verdict with that burden of proof used.

Ok, thank you. That's a fair enough reply.
Kaiser this debate of possible or probable hamster abuse is larger and more complex than you or i can solve.
If he is their god then he is an angry and vengeful god.
Me being a badger made up of both black and white would blow his mind, possibly or probably. Im not sure i know the difference anymore and might go and have a stiff drink and a rich tea biscuit.
But it was not in a court of law so he was found guilty. As said it may not hold as much credence but he was found guilty of using racial abuse.
On that platform he was found guilty. Not probably guilty. Guilty based on probability. He was found guilty by that joke of a panel and now he will be branded racist for the rest of his life and people will boo a countries national anthem.
Disagree with the decision, surely, not whether he was found probably guilty because he was in fact found guilty. That's why he got an 8 game ban.
Yes guilty based on probability which means probably guilty.
It means the verdict, no matter how flawed, is guilty. That's actually a fact.
I am sure there are a lot of highly paid judges and lawyers who sit in civil courts who would be a little miffed at the description of the court they work in as not a real court...
Quite shocking really that the OP is comparing a guy who is fighting for his life with someone found guilty of racist behaviour and acts like a petulant child on the pitch.
That defeat really hurt didn't it? How bitter are you?

Have to stop you there. The OP isn't "comparing" Suarez with Petrov. The OP is commenting upon what the fans did during a game. His point essentially being that he was disappointed with the Villa fans who weren't able to refrain from singing a certain song about an opposition player, given the circumstances and show of respect for another player.
It could have been a game in which such petty actions by opposing fans need not be undertaken, given the gesture of support for something that is, all said and done, much more important and worthwhile.
But when villa fans sung the "we know what you are" chant most of them simply meant "we know what you are......a uruaguan gentlemen who was accused of racism, who probably is guilty but possibly not racist due to all his friends being black and cultural differences" singing the whole thing is a bit of a mouthful however.

"Are you suggesting he shouldn't have reported the fact he believed he had been racially abused?"
god no. he should have reported it if that happened but it didn't so the point is irrelevent
He's a big drama queen who was in a 'red mist' who told porkies about what he heard. Blatant lies. He knew he was never racially abused and he knew all along what Suarez was saying because it's so common even he uses the same laguage on youtube clips.
So afterwards he admitted he lied, changed his story, admitted he knew Suarez wasn't racist (as did the FA) but it was still too little too late.
That's why I hate liar Evra and always will.
The End.
Ripleys Cat, you are a joke. If saying Villa fans shouldn't chant about Suarez because Liverpool fans acknowledged Petrovs ill health isn't a comparison, then what the hell was the original post about?
If we all took a blinded (and frankly bitter) view such as you, we'd be moaning you should not have a go at our players because we respected the Hillsborough tributes.
FFS grow up.

He didn't say that. He said that the OP suggested that. The OP's points has been misunderstood throughout the thread because people are unable to read.
Oh I can read and I don't have my rose tinted spectacles on.

Not sure you can bud. For a start Ripley's is an Arsenal fan I think. Secondly you have your claret tinted glasses on as you have got completely the wrong end of the stick.
Basically the OP was saying he expected better of Villa fans as they were singing some moronic stuff about Suarez when they have no reason to. He was saying that Villains have decent fans with class, respect and perspective.
Turns out he was wrong.

Every set of fans other than Liverpool fans will boo and chant about Suarez.
As I said earlier he is the Robbie Savage of today, the panto villian. Quite why some Liverpool fans are taking it so personally is beyond me.
I've not taken it personally at all, I'm discussing the OP's post. I know every set of fans does it, fans booed Uruguay's national anthem because of it, which seems very reasoned to me, perfectly rational, but the OP's point is that he did not expect it off Villa fans. That is all.
I don't think anybody has too much of a problem with people abusing Suarez. Most know it has become part of the game. However I think the OP's opinion that considering Liverpool showed respect to Villa, we could have expected the same in return is valid. I don't care but the OP's opinion is certainly a valid one.
