i wasnt born until 1988, but my record collection doesnt go past about 1996 with the odd exception
Boris - good shout
I think Acid tracks by phuture and Voodoo ray by a Guy called Gerald top it in that genre, but its all about the individual taste.
80's Dance is well overlooked and underated
Most of the 60s/70s stuff I like is blues, soul or jazz. Muddy Waters, Oscar Brown Jr, Miles Davis, stuff like that, or the Motown stuff and stuff like that. Rolling Stones are, of course, good, but most of it is neither here or there to me.
Still no entry by Prince? Damn you...
Superfreak and Ghetto Life by Rick James were the 80s... one of them has to be in the top 40!
oddiY.. (U1585)
Agreed, I'm mainly a Rock/Indie fan but I mostly listen to Old School House/ 80's dance when I'm driving.
808 State - Pacific State

ill stick it on at the end there

Can't believe Under The Bridge was 80's.
My Little Red Corvette - Now there's a Prince tune.
Boris, same here mate ..i like my music on the rock or indie side ...but 80's electro and dance was awesome
i supose its something to do with my age, now and then
JPB, why has Cabdu Staton and the Source come off the list 2/10 for collation
and you need to be adding other songs with credibility, im just trying to stop people scoffing at you mate
oddiy - i have never heard of ANY of your songs. of course that doesnt mean they arent any good, but if they were one of the best 40 records made in the 1980s, i reckon i would have heard them.
