Take in the overall game of "great goalscorers" and the guys who scored less goals are the "greater goalscorers"...

Can you guys not read?

Was Boyd the "greatest goalscorer" ever in the SPL? Greatest by amount - yes, greatest by being the best player to play up front? no - not by a loooong way.

That so difficult to grasp?

Sorry mate, crossed wires. When I mention the term "great goalscorer", I mean players who are great at scoring goals i.e. they score lots of them. In Boyd's case, the most ever in the SPL.

I should have made it clear that I didn't mean guys with a fantastic pass completion rate who enjoy a tackle and are a great crosser of the ball with all the trickery in the world but also play up front.

Boyd = Greatest goalscorer the SPL has ever seen. That is a fact and that's all I was saying

I was more thinking that Averladze or either of the De Bore brothers could have been classed as a greater striker without even brining any of Celtic's players into it but hey ho...

Could all still do a job

Boydy n miller would help bang in the goals at that level. We should never have got rid of Stevie Smith was a crackin player. Only injuries curtailed his development and career at Rangers..

Altho..dont see any of them deals hapening tbh
