To think, 4 Sneijders' doesn't even cover Andy Carolls price

Bebe > Sneijder

It's strange that there dosent seem to be a big club after him. Sneijder is only 28. Players like him, who rely on their brain more than their physique and athleticism, tend to peak around their early 30s. A lot of clubs are missing out on a bargain IMO.

Jesus, if he is going for that little, surely we have to make a bid. I think he could play alongside Carrick in a 4231 formation.

Bloodred would you give him 200k judging by his recent injury record?

It's his wages. He's asking a ridiculous amount, and I believe that's why Inter are getting rid of him at such a low price. Most top clubs would want him, if he wasn't going to break their wage structure.

bloodref

It is the ages that are the problem.

I think the diff between Bebe and Sneijder is not the transfer fee.... it's that we paid Bebe with free soup whilst WS will want twice what we pay RVP.

if we bid 10m inter would take it... but Fergie could never agree personal terms with the guy

Apparently he is only on about 100k a week when you convert it.

That's not that much considering.

Greed was what wasted an opportunity to play for this club. He's better than Galatasary. It's a shame he's letting his career go down the pan because of the dollar sign. He could play for almost any team in Europe based on ability. Shame.

I heard Inter wanted him to reduce his wages to 1.6m Euros/year, which is probably about £30k/week. So not a huge amount. Most players would probably be a bit miffed at taking a 70% pay cut.

I very much doubt that is the case or else clubs all over Europe would be lining up to sign him.

He must be on at least £150,000 a week at Inter. Wages would never be a stumbling block if he was only on £100,000 a week.

Would be interesting to see what Galatasaray have actually offered him.

He's rumoured to be getting €4,500,000 a year plus a €25,000 match bonus.

Seems that he's still to make his mind up and will make a decision on Monday apparently.

Me thinks something else might happen before the week is out.

Sneijder >>>> Bebe >>>> Torres/Carroll

Bebe cost nearly as much as Sneijder but the wages are considerably lower, where as the latter two cose more and are on a hefty set of wages. In that context, Bebe doesn't seem so bad.
