Irvine
Forgive me from looking at a Celtic s prospective but like many Celtic fans I pay allot of money to watch Celtic and like it to be competitive, now with no Rangers the spark has gone for now, so playing each other 4 times a year is boring and will drive fans away from Celtic that bar Rangers bring in the most revenue.
So No Irvine I am not happy with the change

I liked the idea of SPL TV
jungle not sure what your saying mate. Do you mean that the changes would make for less competative games for Celtic?
I actually think we get the best of it under the proposed changes barring the loss of some income. A good selection of games against poorer opposition in the first half of the season when we should expect to be active in Europe. This allows some breathing space if key players need resting/ injuries etc for UEFA games.
The second half of the season every game is against the strongest sides we can face in Scotland.
Curly I actually think that applies more to Rangers fans at present. Everything is skewed towards an anti SPL agenda.
Your board is letting you down by taking this apporach as there is no longer any need to use such tactics to get the fans behind them.

If Vanguard Bears said a 42 team league was the solution Charles Green would agree
It must be terrible not having a mind of your own

Fixed that for you
Scotcelt Competitive is what I am getting at,I mean look at the moment we are struggling to attract fans to the games as with no Rangers the excitment has gone, now with no Rangers next season and us playing the same teams 4 times its just boring
The problem we have is one guy at the top of the SFL/SPL wants to convince over 1 millions football fans that his idea is best.
Not the 1 million fans who disagree being right, we are all wrong

Gary it might be one guy trying to convince the million but he is only the mouthpiece for what the clubs have told him to sell.
So its actually the clubs themselves who are trying to juggle their own needs which includes keeping the fans happy but is always going to be a loosing battle.
Far as I recall the only folk I have heard of making money out of fitba in Scotland is Fergus and I suppose those who went in with him. Green and co will also achieve this but the circumstances were a bizzare coming together of events to allow this. Namely huge clubs in a position that the assets could be got at a fraction of their value.
Point I am making is we always hear its just about the money for club chairman but its not like they are doing it to line their own pockets as most are actually loosing money by being involved in fitba at all.
Not saying they are getting it right but am sure in a perfect world they would want to have a strong viable 20 team top league as much as the rest of us.
Agree jungle but any setup that allows home and away fails either through not enough games or too many fingers in the pie.
For me its 20 teams home and away
Have put down thoughts on how this might be achievable but just about to head out so not time to go over it now but basically only a long term apporach can work over a decade or so.
Anyways am off
