i dont obsess over Rangers never have never will,i'd rather talk and concentrate on the mighty Hoops and the a glorious season we are having
"Celtic's average viewing figures for games on Sky this season is 240k while Rangers' is 110k."
These are the correct figures
But what our hoop wearing friend fails to mention here is that this figure includes the viewing audience from Celtic's Champions League matches, which completes distorts the figures and therefore cannot be used as a true comparison to the viewing figures of Rangers and Celtic's domestic matches
http://www.thefootballlife.co.uk/post/35653783779/spl-viewing-figures
so with over 4 more matches on sky that us, at the very least they only have double the viewing figures?
I said at the start of the season that there would be an article like this in the new year
Sorry if this is repeating what others said elsewhere, but ESPN pulling out of Scottish football was always going to happen. They've lost the rights to EPL games next season and since that's where they make their money they were always going to pull out of Scottish football. They won't have any subscribers next season.
This has been on the cards all season and should be no surprise to anyone.
we have the attendance trophy and you have the viewing figures trophy so everybody is happy.
I thought we were talking about the SPL TV deal
Hence my comment.
the viewing figures trophy is the new attendance trophy
I guess I'll need to work it out then
According to the link above:
Celtic's total domestic viewing figures are 1.376m over 12 matches
Average of 114.67k
Rangers total domestic viewing figures are 1.018m over 7 matches
Average of 145.42k
So according to my dodgy maths anf the above link, for domestic Scottish matches alone, Rangers matches have pulled in 22% more viewers in total than Celtic matches have

You guys should all get a medal for such a magnificent achievement.
I'm not looking for a medal, just like people getting facts straight and not picking and choosing figures or using distorted figures.
Basically one of your tim supporting friends was saying Celtic were pulling in an average of 240,000 viewers per game, with the mantra that Celtic were the attraction and the reason for these numbers.....and included a Champions League game with Barca in those numbers, which raked in over 500k viewers.
I somehow dont think Celtic were the main attraction in that case do you???
ave 31k more
31k is 28% of 114k
So nearly a 3rd more people watch Rangers rather than Celtic.
Can say I blame them

i couldn't give a s.h!t.
Can't live if living is without you...
Aarrgghhhhh blank post
I was about to say.....
Is it just me or is there a hint of irony about a guy called the "The Timinator -The ★ attraction"....saying he doesnt give a $hit about who the ★ attraction was???
