Can someone explain what booing Torres is meant to achieve?
Booing is just plain rude. Funnily it is usually the ill mannered who'll boo.
-------------------
Oh poor Fernando. His life must be so $hit, oh wait, no he gets payed £150k per week to do nothing.
JNR, I explained earlier. It supposed to be a wake up call to the board and to Roman. It's supposed to show them that enough is enough. Torres should not be in the Chelsea team.
TCP it is terrible. But I think most people there boo because it is fashionable. I can't see one person booing on his own. And this applies to football as well.
They are not booing. They are BAing
You cant hiss at football matches at least because that sound is associated with the anti-Semitic thing the crowd used to do in the bad days
His form is probably deteriorating because of it.
And how do you expect other players to differentiate who the booing is aimed at!
When Sturridge Mikel Kalou were/are getting groans and such, i remembered zero threads about it.
Odd
TrueBlue you think it doesn't matter if we are ruder to rich people than anyone else? Where does money come into this?

I'm a little bit confused with some of the comments by the Chelsea fans on this thread. Virtually all of us want Torres to leave our club, as he has played so badly for two years, and yet some of you want the supporters to just act as if nothing is wrong, to maintain the status quo.
-----------------------------------------------------------
What staus quo, we are clearly looking for other strikers, I see no need to boo.

I'm not even going to respond to that.
I'm pretty sure Roman knows Torres isn't good enough. Otherwise we wouldn't have been linked with Falcao etc.
And you really paying Roman for your tickets and then making weird noises is going to make him change his mind on things?
TrueBlue you said it not me.
Football fans are pretty inconsiderate. I've only realised this since RDM got sacked.
Never heard them boo'd TCP !
Pardon the intrusion from a City fan.
My grandson is a Chelsea fan and I have taken him to a number of games that Chelsea have played in but he has never sat with Chelsea fans.
On Weds, for his birthday, I took him to the game and we sat in the Matthew Harding with the Chelsea fans.
There can't be many fans who havent chanted at some time "sack the board" or similar..no problem with that. No problem with voicing support for Frank Lampard ( I don't understand this issue either...top player) but some of the chanting was venomous and must have a negative vibe to the players. The most disturbing of all was the booing of your Chairman who was only there to present an award to Petr Cech..I wonder what he thought.
I fully expect to now be told to eff off and mind my own business but I am trying to be objective.
I do not in any way applaud Tevez after what he did to my Club but I certainly don't boo him
Thanks for sharing, I think it will fall on deaf ears but appreciated.
Never seen them not try either !
Don't consider it an intrusion 65, if you have a vaild point, which you do, and well said!
No need to boo them then TCP
The booing towards Torres is the accumulation of two years of frustration, false hope and disappointment.
fan from 65, the booing towards Buck was the first time in a long while that someone high up in the Chelsea hierarchy had put themselves in the line of fire. The fans took the chance to express their anger at the state of the club - the Torres situation, Di Matteo's sacking, Lampard situation, Rafa appointment etc. - and as such the booing was aimed more at the board then Buck individual. I wouldn't have booed but I wasn't suprised.
And about Tevez, what he did was terrible but it seems like he has tried to reprieve himself and has worked hard and has put in a lot of great, match winning performances for City.
No need to tell me either
But I like the banter with you!
