Do you City fans worry about FFP rules?

Honest question.

They will always find a loophole in the rules. Besides, they can just pay off FIFA

No we have just signed a record breaking deal with Etihad and FIFA.

The FFP rules imo are a disaster waiting to happen!

I mean, why are FIFA/UEFA all of a sudden the honest judges of what/what is not a fair deal for stadium rights/sponsorship deals etc.

They will soon be questioning contracts/loans/transfer fees if they want to close the loopholes that clubs are clearly taking advantage of!

Where will this end if the FFP rules are to be implemented with any degree of reality? Will the governing body dictate what price a player is worth/what length of contract a player deserves/what should or should not be included in the contract, i.e. buy back clauses etc.

FFP rules will not work imo, anyway, what was wrong with the previous situation? The big clubs ruled the roost, they will still do that, its just that they will have a bit more competition from new money clubs like City, Malaga etc.

No. I trust that the club know what they are doing better than I (or any other fan) does.

Anyway, what's the worst case scenario - that a club is suspended from Champions League football because of the money that they've spent?

Well, without spending that money, they in all probability wouldn't have qualified for Champions League football anyway.

If the club used members of football forums to advise on the FFP rules then I'd be worried but as they use a team of high powered accountants and lawyers who are in weekly contact with UEFA then I sleep easy at night.

What!

So you are saying that all the United fans who i imagine think that City are run by the members of this forum are wrong?

Suarez is similar to Aguero and Carroll will score more than Balotelli & Dzeko.

Aguero's wages are double what we are paying Carroll.

I think both teams have good strikers and have had to pay the current market rate. It will be an interesting season.

Dzeko will come good this season, I could outscore Balotelli.

Interesting it takes 2 players to be >Carroll. He must be better than either one of them on their own.

That's a bold statement Inky considering Balotelli scored this:

The could have brought Veron for silly money when he was proven to be cack in the premiership lol

posted on 28/7/11

I think getting Aguero for £38m shows just how ripped off Liverpool were in paying £35m for Carroll.

posted on 28/7/11

I think City were lucky getting Aguero as well. They could of ended upbuying Rooney last season and paying him £250K a week. The other manchester club bent over for him instead

posted on 28/7/11

The bosses at City knew that Carroll was not worth that amount of money. They bided their time and got Aguero for a £3m more.

They also could have got Villa or Ozil and HIguain
