It's paper talk. How many newspapers knew the Sturridge deal was actually happening before the club let them know. There were rumours but that was but no one knew how much we bought him for because it was an undisclosed figure, yet they think they know how much we are bidding for other players during inital negotiations. They dont even know actual transfer fees. Unless they're tapping our phones they don't know, and they can't do that anymore.
It's sells papers, it gets fans clicking on their websites, but most of it is made up. A friend of mine works for a well known tabloid newspaper and he told me that most stories are completely made up, they might sound realistic as they're wbased on rumours but figures about wages, transfer fees are pretty much plucked out of the air.
I think some players and managers see the EPL as a bubble that is going to burst.
What eriksen do you lot think he means?
