Personally, I don't like LBJ's style of basketball one bit. Far too physical, no elegance whatsoever.
++++++++++++++++
No elegance whatsoever? IOAG ...you cannot be serious!
I echo IOAG's comments in a way. He relies on physicality to score and his only flair is around the basket.
You would never see him spin past defenders like Parker, or cross over players like CP3, or produce those 'Wow' moments like Wade, or the audacious footwork and pull-up J like Kobe.
Thankfully for him he is the most skilled athlete the NBA has ever seen and thus doesnt have to rely on 'technique' to the extent other players do.
I think Leb Bron's physicality seems to distort the truth. Le Bron has a great I.Q. for the game and a great eye for picking apart defenses, attacking at the right moments.
His intelligence for the game is almost unrivalled in any era: he thinks three, four moves ahead.
You say flair? His Dunk resume alone will rival any in any era.
He has incredible mental strength - sure many will trot out the whole 'Decision' saga, leaving Cleveland etc but fact that he’s been in the spotlight since he was very young. When your actions are scrutinized, you’re being heavily recruited, a heavy load of expectations were placed upon his shoulders and he’s managed not only to deliver, but to exceed all of them. The opportunity to cave under pressure was there, and Lebron James dealt with it all with aplomb.
Not to mention his dancing, his charisma, his respect for fans and then, a word i REALLY hate when describing sport stars, but he is a ROLE MODEL.
Has he ever been in trouble?
I dont really know what you are trying to argue with Red? That post seemed pretty out of the blue and you misinterpreted what IOAG and I said.
I think he is a good role model, got a top game IQ (even though the 'intelligence is unrivalled' is pushing it a bit), etc.
But what there proves that he is an elegant player?
I didn't say I do not like him. I just said that he isn't elegant.
Its OK. Had a big work thing to do today which went well. Pretty depressed with supporting teams with 'spur' in their name who fell at the last hurdle.
What about you?
With Edin's last post on LBJ
Only I don't like him.
Also, fúck role models. What sport needs is more Maradonas.

Well, LBJ's game is pretty elegant to me but i can see why people feel his power and athleticism often negates that.
I can see the parallels with Nadull, sorry Nadal. I primarily see Federer (and even Murray) as elegant players...Nadal and Djoker are moonballers.
But i admit that is a rigid way of looking at it.

I wouldn't disagree with that, certainly not regarding Nadal.
Sorry Saint, I only saw this now.
Can you please come back to the hip-hop thread? It is being ruined by people discussing how good Kanye's Yeezus is. Its ridiculous.
Why did Sacramento pick ANOTHER SG?
They should have taken Burke and slotted him as the PG.
I like McLemore as well.
The Philadelphia draft night was crazy. MCW is awful tho and not a fan, Noel + a first round pick in a deep 2014 draft is very smart tho. I dont think Jrue is very good.
Shocked that Cavs took Bennett first but I like him and he's probably going to be the best in the draft.
Oladipo at 2 is a smart pick by Orlando.
Porter was predictable.
Chicago picks: Snell and Murphy. Murphy looks to be a v. good 3pt shooter which is a great plus for a big. Snell can defend which im happy.
You watch a lot of college hoops Saint?
Mclemore is definately my favorite player in the draft. definately.
Bennet massive shock. the reaction from the crowd was hilarious.
You know steve adams? Went to OKC? i played against him in new zealand once. he dunked on me. he went to scots college, which was near mine.
The 76ers trade, i dno. a frontline of davis noel would have been hilarious. 2 lightweights but good shot blockers. Jrue was a all-star for 41 games last season. no more
Olapido was a good pick for orlando.
thoughts on celtics trade with nets?
Deron-JJ-Pierce-KG-Lopez is a v-good starting 5.
Not really IOAG, I dont have much time on my hands with work and the family. I watch decent amount of March Madness though to see how good the kids are.
KG with a contender
i love college ball. didnt watch as much this year as it is probably the least talented year ever.
watch andrew wiggins next year. garunteed number 1 pick. should have been in this draft but isnt 19 yet so will have to play in college for 1 year. was reading alot of GM's said they would give him a max deal right now. They say he is the next lebron. His biggest weakness is 'passing out of double teams' when that is your biggest weakness at 18, wow.
my boy Deron will have to do some serious ball sharing to keep people happy. you know JJ will be giving pierce so much over THAT crossover.
