You should never be on WiFi for gaming, it's gash.
Powerline adapters are the way to go, I've been using them for years.
They transmit the ethernet signal through the wiring of the house.
Get ones with at at least 1000mbps speed, preferably 1200mbps like these ones

All you do is plug one in next to your router, plug a cable from router to powerline adapter then plug another one in your room, sync them both together then plug a cable from ps4 to powerline and off you go. Wired in.

Don't be fooled by the 'gigabit speed' advertisement though.
If you have 550mb virgin connection like me. Using a powerline adapter with 1200mbps, you'll get a maximum of 150mb download speed.

There's a difference between Mbps and Mb, which obviously not many people know about.
1200Mbps = 150Mb


The most powerful adapters on the market at the mo provide 2400Mbps, which would provide you with 300Mb download speed

Still. 150mb is fast enough for my ps4.... Not like you need more than that is it?

Sometimes people have older wiring in their households and can't use Powerline Adapters but they are a God send

No the powerline adapters goes into a normal power socket.

Im confused by what you mean Kami.
You only need normal power sockets for powerline adapters and a couple of ethernet cables to plug from the powerline adapter to your router and PS4.

oh ok sorry thought it might need to connect a ethernet cable to the socket on my wall which i cant do.

If its just a socket from the ps4/router to the adapter then that shoudl be fine.
