What am I basing it on? The Dutch league had better players. They regularly went beyond the group stages in the CL, sometimes got as far is semi finals and Feyenoord who last season got spanked 10-0 and were battling relegation and happen to now be our official feeder club were UEFA Cup winners around 10 years ago. That's what I'm basing it on. That and common sense. If you are seriously not willing to admit that the Dutch league was not stronger 10 years ago than it is now then you literally haven't the slightest notion about football.

It's besides the point anyway. You are simply trying to twist my words when you made a fool of yourself by mentioning the amount of goals Suarez scored in Holland whilst dismissing the fact Alfonso Alves and Kezman did the exact same thing.

I honestly thought you were one of the less idiotic Liverpool fans on this board but I could not have been more wrong. Your delusion and Scouse logic knows no bounds and is quite frankly embarrassing. I actually feel stupid for trying to debate with you in the first place.

And with that, I'm off. Good night fellow Gooners and goodnight delusional Scousers

comment by The Adventures Of Batmanu Eboué & Robin Van Persie - Free Luka for the love of god. Free him! Daniel Levy you evil man. Won't you think of the children? WHY WON'T YOU THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! (U2725)

Not going to bother reading all that as I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be any different from your previous poor judgement.

Lets use CL for example. When was the last time a Dutch team won the CL? 1995.

When was Ruud van Nistelrooy signed? 2001
When was RVP signed? 2004
So Dutch league wasn't great then was it?

"They regularly went beyond the group stages in the CL"

Oh BTW when was has a single Dutch failed go past CL group stages???
Another flawed comment...

Get some help mate. Do some research before making poor comments

2000/2001
No Dutch team made it past CL group stages.

10 years later
2010/2011

Same thing - no team Dutch team made it past group stages.

So technically they were NOT better 10 years ago.

"Lucas was the best defensive midfielder in the league last season by some distance. Brazilian starter as well."

"Johnson is the best right back in England whether you agree or not."

Regarding all the references to the Dutch League. Technically speaking it's not weaker than 10 years ago. From a purely footballing side of things there are some very, very good to watch teams and players.

The thing that has affected Dutch Football the most is money. Ajax, PSV, Twente etc. can only dream of the budgets and money being thrown around by other clubs. 10 years ago (even 5) the Dutch clubs could attract top players.

With the likes of smaller clubs such as Malaga, PSG, and a lot of the Russian clubs all being bankrolled by billionaire owners - these are the type of clubs that are doing the damage to the Dutch League

Obviously Jenny cannot rebuild a team with a mere 100m. Throw another 100m at the problem

I want to believe that you're being sarcastic about Johnson, but...God help you. So because he is picked for England, he is the best in the EPL? Yeah, let's forget all the non-English RBs like Ivanovic, Sagna etc who actually ARE decent at defending AND attacking. Dear Lord. It's comments like that that make us all despair.

That should he been 'England (lol)'. Being picked for our national team actually does nothing for your reputation, sadly. If anything it worsens it, as we've all seen how Johnson 'defends' in those games! Glad we got shot of him when we did. He was actually worse back then too, what with his attitude and all.

Ivanovic is not even a proper right back.

Stats say Lucas was the best DM in the league last season. The ones that disagree haven't made any reasonable point to say why he wasn't. Still stand by my comment.

Tell me why Lucas wasn't....... Bet you can't.

Stats say Matt Tubbs is the best striker in England with 40 goals in 48 games, what is your point?

It doesn't matter, stats don't win you games, goals and wins do, just ask Wenger
