The same with all the other players who have been forced out of the club, Nelsen, Roberts, Salgado etc. Givet will probably be next.

By 11pm tomorrow, we’ll probably have lost half our squad

He's been forced out yes, he's been a great servant too, but I think we're doing fine with Kean in goals and it'll free up a bit of wage space. Wise move imo.

Poor transfer dealings - why get rid of Bunn (who wanted first team football) if we don't intend to play Robinson (I know that was about 63 managers ago). Now we have Kean who looks good....but is inexperienced. And for back-up....

Remember when we had Robinson, Bunn, Fielding - now we will likely have Kean and some untested nobodies.

Good to see we've signed another striker (18yo kid - another one for the future) and are attempting to get CKR permanently. Could we eventually field a line-up of just strikers?

Where are the defenders - Orr coming back - what rubbish. And getting rid of Formica, Vuckevic and talk of losing Olsson and Dann...Certainly consolidating us a Championship side...

Anyhows - Paul, best of luck to you - we know you cared and I appreciate the effort you put into this club.

The big picture summed up right there. Our overall transfer dealings since Venkys took over have been nothing short of appalling.

Regarding Robbo, good luck to him and I'll always remember him fondly. Its not often these days that you get a player who always makes a real effort with the fans and Robbo was one of them.

Don't you think that would be a good move?
Our squad has too many players, we need a core group of talented players.

We're mainly missing out on the talented. That's the problem.

Agree generally but depends what area we lose from. Don't think the defence has too many, and probably has too few that are capable of anything above reserves/warming the bench.

It is clear that Robbo will be leaving. I wish him well and thank-him for the affection and loyalty shown to the fans during one of the worst periods in the clubs long history.

If anyone is surprised at this, they should take there head out of there ar se,its was on the cards when he got droped, and for me he was ready for dropin,,at crosses terrible,,spilling balls terrible ,spilling balls to opposing forwards feet even more terrible, getting beateb by too many shots from out of the area,,no his time is up a reasonably good carreer, thanks for the memories Robo but it is time to go,and youve gone,,makes sense to me.

The deal has collapsed.

Apparently not anything to do with the player, it was from our end.

We can’t even sell players!!

"BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan reports that further to information about QPR striker DJ Campbell from Radio 5 live's Ian Dennis, the player is yet to decide between Blackburn and Hull but hopes to have it sorted one way or the other by the end of play tonight."

FFS - another mediocre striker!! Whats going on?

Another mediocre striker?

A - he's a proven goal scorer at this level.
B - we have some pretty decent strikers in Rhodes, kazim-Richards and Best.

Plus, Kazim-Richards is leaving isn't he?

Its just the focus on strikers/forwards that annoys me. We have so many players that can play up top. Where are the midfielders/defenders?

With the rumours re: Givet's contract getting cancelled and Orr returning...I can't understand Rovers transfer dealings. Vuckevic leaving - don't understand why under three managers, no-one fancied him.

SKA - I thought we had CKR until the end of the season? When is Best back?

posted on 31/1/13

Mediocre strikers comment wondered what Campbell is supposed to add. We have Rhodes/Best as our presumed top two choices with CKR filling in for Best. However we also have a plethora of other options including Gomes and Rochina who are both decent with
Slew, Goodwillie, King (to come back) as other options up top. Why sign another striker when our defense is what is concerning?
