Gumtree is alright but your basically putting your phonenumber out there for nutters to contact you.

I was selling a Nintendo Wii and had some woman texting me saying she wanted it for her sons birthday which was the following day.

She said she would pick it up one day at 3pm.

At about 4pm she still hadnt showed and I text her asking her what the score was.

She replied that she was on her way and could I meet her at the train station to sell it there.

Sounded a bit like I was being set up for an ambush or something! So I just left it.

I have to admit that I've shafted many a person after argeeing to sell then getting a better offer.

Used to use it alot. You should maybe have our a reserve on it.

Needless to say if it's at £41 with 4 days to go that's looking good. Lots of watchers. Price will shift significantly in the last few minutes/seconds of the auction

Good luck

Have u checked the bid history ? U can always suds out automatic bids and the level of interest on how quickly a bid chanes after a higher bid and how frequently the same bidders appear.

U can check bidders history also to check how reliable they are

Just checked it Bear

You've got an automatic bidder with a max limit set

posted on 6/2/13

esctosh, what u meaning by that?

Well you can see somebody bid £40.46 and the next bid was £41.46

1. All bids are at the same time
2. Th fact that the current bid is £41.46 from this guys 1st bid means that he has set up automatic bids to whatever he sets his bidding limit at. Bidder 2 set his at £40.46 and has been outbid. You can tell this because the current bidders 1st bid is exactly £1 higher thank 2nd highest bidder

So what it means is bidder 1 probably had a max bid limit of let's say £80-£100z

When someone next bids. Let's say £45. Bidder 1 current bid will increase to £45 as he has his limit set higher. Only if someone bids higher than his limit will you see a new bidder

But you should see bidder 1s bids increase as more bids come in

Hope that makes sense
