He's been unlucky with injuries, so I reckon he deserves another season to actually prove he's good enough.

He still has a lot to learn but that doesn't make him a bad player...

He's ok, kind of reminds me of Cattermole in how he likes to "Frimpong" opposition players, but he needs to add a lot more to his game.

I'd say he's worth a new deal. If for nothing else, it means if he doesn't make it he can be sold rather than moving somewhere on a free.

He's got ability, but he needs to play games. Fulham will be good for him, maybe a season-long loan next year and he'll be ready the year after, just as Arteta starts to fade.

He is awful, no future at Arsenal and certainly not good enough. Couldn't even shine at Charlton . It's a joke if he gets a new contract when players like Sagna don't

Yeah i remember a few seasons back in the Emirates cup. He was very impressive in the tournament and then he got injured but at the moment i would take Coquelin ahead of him. But for sheer passion for the club and the unlucky injuries i would give him a two year contract just to see how much he has developed and then maybe sign him longterm.

Surely the whole point of loaning him to Fulham is to give him a chance to prove himself.

Wait until he has played a few at Fulham and then judge him.

To say things like "he couldn't even shine at Charlton" is missing a few key factors.

Pretty much impossible to judge him at present as plagued with injury. If he is a disaster at Fulham then maybe the club will look to move him on.

From a commercial perspective would be better offering a new contract which will increase his sell on value should the club decide to sell.

Not renewing his contract and letting him leave on a free, only for him to develop progress elsewhere IMO could leave the club with egg on its face.

Clearly the club would still get a "development fee" as he's under 24, but he really does have the potential to be a good player.

The club don't seem fussed that he's almost out of contract, as he's very dedicated to Arsenal. If he can prove his fitness before summer I'd fully expect him to be offered a new deal.

I'd agree that he's behind Coquelin at present, but that could all change if he has a good run for the rest of the season.

I would give him a one year extension on same pay and keep a close eye on his development, both on and off the field. If he continues his twitter/badboy rapstar antics, then get rid. I still think he can develop as a top footballer, but his time is running out and i want Arsenal to quit being a charity case.

If frimpong does well at fulham we should extend his contract, does he have an arsenal future? No
