It's absolutely in the balance, but it could have been worse. Won't be easy, but on our day we can beat anyone at OT.
It means if we score first we can concede and not be behind.
Granted we did need another away goal and were close to having one, but wasn't meant to be. 1-1 is a good result to take back, but it just puts both teams back on an even field.
Only thing I hate is how if we get to ET, Madrid will always have the advantage.

Measured and methodical? Thats when we have a problem and concede goals because we sit back and try to hold on to what we have. I didnt say tonight wasnt a good result BTW, I asked if it was that much better than a scoreless game.
it's not like an extra goal.... but it is so much better than a 0-0

I think they can, if we are on the attack with a great atmosphere early on then Ronaldo and the rest of their forwards could show their counter attacks at speed.
Measured and methodical doesn't mean sit back. Use your brain mate.
0-0 means we have to take the initiative much more than if it's 1-1, making it harder for us to relax and counter, which is a huge part of the threat when away goals are in the mix.
1-1 means if Madrid don't score, we go through. So they can't rely on a counter attack option as much, giving us a huge upper hand in this kind of European tie. It's a definite advantage and a potential game changer.
We really need the crowd with us in the return leg. Although the 1-1 scoreline is good it's also dangerous if we concede first as the pressure will be on us more so as i'm not sure how efficient we can hold on if Madrid get going. If we can start off in an electrifying attacking style and get one or maybe two goals as early as possible i think we can demoralise them. It's really down to full concentration and retaining possesion.

lets see how tired real madrid are.
1-1 is much better then 0-0 as we have a chance to go through on away goals if 0-0 and if real madrid score first we only have to score 1 to equalise and can go to extra time.
Overall though a lot of people did not give us a chance so it would be funny if not only we manage to beat real madrid but also win the competition. Lets not forget we have the likes of cleverley hernandez still to get a chance. I think if hernandez was in rvp position he would have stuck it away as he is a predator. RVP struggles at those chances, as in quick finishing.
