People have had that 'feeling' for the last few summers, nothing will ever change with Wenger in charge.

Arsenal have spent over 100 million in the last 2 years. The problem is that we keep selling our best players. if we had kept Fabregas, Nasri, Cliche, Song and Van Persie and brought in the new players we have now we would win the league in my eyes. The problem is not about spending it is about keeping hold of the best players we already have.

Put it in perspective, we have made net profits in the last 2 years, we have not spent any money, only spent money earned from player sales. What the club needs is investment.

I want answers from Wenger and the board that will help to determine whether or not Wenger stays. I want to know why we're not spending when the money is so obviously there. I want to know why we have lacked defensive organisation for years without it being fixed at all.

Ultimately though, there are no realistic replacements in my eyes who could do as good a job as Wenger given the amount of money spent. I'd like Pellegrini or maybe even Rikjaard(sp?) to replace him if possible as we desperately need a change.

Are you suggesting that we have to sell to buy? The club accounts show otherwise and highlight that we have a ton of money.

Also all of those players were sold for reasons other than to make money. Persie was sold due to the clubs lack of ambition. fabregas was sold because we gave into his and Barca's demands. Nasri and Cliche were sold because we refused to give them a wage increase even though we could afford it. Not sure why Song was sold.

I agree with Kiss-the-cup and expressed a similar view on another thread on here. Wenger should stay but the board should raise the bar on season objectives. Simply qualifying for CL is not enough, we should consistently be reaching the last 4 of domestic cups and still be within challenging distance for the EPL come April as well as last 8 of CL. Realistically there is no way if Wenger could believe he has the quality within his squad to fulfil this and therefore would be forced into spending and buying better quality to improve the squad. Yes we need develop for the future but the time has come to deliver now.

Absolutely not. I am saying that we DO sell before we buy. As you have pointed out already, the club is in a very strong position financially yet we fail to properly invest in the team.
