Spot On H, pity they didn't put up a bit better show, but that's what cups are about, all teams from all levels get a chance

Hey Darn, I wonder how many Cardiff fans wanted Swansea to win today?

Hard to tell Wethers,
There will have been some, but as a percentage your side of the argument may claim the 'higher ground'..
I suspect Welsh Nationalists would have had a lump in their throats When the Swans Fans burst into song & no matter who they support 'on any Sunday' (great DVD)...More than likely sided with the team from South Wales,
Those that showed no affection towards the near by rival would perhaps be showing self destructive Narcissistic tenancies... much like Folk of the West Riding reacting in a similar way towards Bradford,
A negative trend perhaps, that has a low vibrational effect on the local community as a whole.

Regardless.
Those Bradford fans were ACE eh Wethers,
5 darn & still singing & enjoying themselves,
Made our performance as Hudders fans at Wembley look pathetic by comparison don't you think.

True that Darn, the City support yesterday was incredible. Even as their first mis-hit shot limped to the Swans keeper in the 87th minute the fans let out a hearty roar. Brilliant gallows humour.

City may not have won the trophy but I reckon they made a lot of friends. The fans and the team conducted themselves fantastically, no niggly leaving the boot in or trying to resort to bully boy tactics when things were against them. Respect for that.

Still, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't got what I wanted.....a City defeat and a handsome sum from the bookies for 5-0 coming in (I also had 6-0 & 7-0 )

Oh, and I refuse to knock our fans at Wembley. Thought we were terrific that day. Those 30 seconds after Steve Simonsen put NASA on red alert will live with me forever. Absolute madness. Joy, relief, strangers hugging, smiles, laughter, tears. Christ, I even sang along to Coldplay such was my delirium

I don't expect you to knock 'our' fans Champers,
But from my point of view we weren't all that, not even close.

Don't know if you watched or saw any of that playoff final on the TV..But as far as crowd participation goes, apart from the last few penalties we may as well not have been there !
Poor in the extreme.

The Bantams also let out a 'hearty roar' for a corner & a throw in too... (And they were laughing )
Better that, than as the commentator suggested, most clubs fans would have already vacated the place long before.........

Look.
Don't take this out of context, If we had been playing them, It would have been all TOWN TOWN TOWN & more TOWN on my part...
But it was all there plain to see,
The Colour, the noise & the participation far out shone any involvement we had on 'Our Day'.

Maybe You, Wethers ..Me & who ever are ALL that,
It's just that there isn't enough of us....(IMO )

You still owe me a Pint of Vimto

with the luck I'm having at the bookies of late Darn, I might make it a Moët et Tizer

How many of their support will be at Valley Parade on Wednesday against Dagenham? Glory hunters, yesterday was probably more than half their crowd's first (and last) ever game. The tin pot final has stuffed their League 2 chances too! Still........ It would have been good to have the derby back next season!

That's always the way Wethers...
We had , what...25 thou turn out at Wembley, Utd probably closer to mid 30's ! Neither of us get close to that on a weekly basis..

I can even 'top' that !

You might not remember, But Halifax RLFC made the final in the mid 80's v St Helens, Full house, 100 thou, Had to be close on 38 thousand (maybe more !)
went darn from 'Fax.....

The weelky attendances (without visitors Like Leeds, Wigan, Hull etc ) struggled to get close to 6000

Pendlebury's last gasp tackle on Saints ELLIA ,

Best sporting event, with a nerve shattering finish I have ever attended

, you get my point though!

posted on 25/2/13

Yesterday I thought the same. If that would have been town getting mullered, we'd have all been quiet.

posted on 25/2/13

Most of them didn't even know they were losing!

posted on 25/2/13

I do get your point Wethers....BUT !
do you get mine ?

Bro Hydy does
We are no different Wethers....

& another thing.....I know you want more
Come on be honest now
Those 'out for the day' Bradford Glory Hunters....
They stayed right to the end, & contributed to the atmosphere.... They did

Where I was stood behind that very same goal at Wembley for 'our' final.... 99,9% of so called TOWN fans around me sat in Silence till virtually the penalty shoot out ...........'.Glory Hunters'

anyway Fork That...
What about that Dyer & De Guzman fiasco with the ball before the penalty !
Ridiculous.

posted on 25/2/13

You could have a point there Wethers.....

Most of them probably thought 'the ball was a funny shape' and that the 'Goal post's seemed incomplete'...
