Giroud's miss was the turning point yesterday. To be honest I don't understand how a striker can miss from 6 yards with a ball laid on a plate.
Giroud 0 goals in 10 games. Just getting ridiculous now

I can't even laugh it off as usual now. So facked off.

At least we are guaranteed something different this season than "4th is a success" as usual.
Either we win the league or it is a massive failure and Wenger will only get a 10% payrise instead of his usual 20% !!

Cue 74th minute own goal at WHL this weekend.
Well, even Giroud has to score sometime...
I keep thinking that Lex and he just keeps missing.
Scored in 2 of his last 15 games
Still, did a couple of knockdowns here and there so I suppose we can't really do better

Not if he doesn't bother jumping like the way he defended for Swansea's second.
Would anyone be even slightly fussed if Giroud, Walcott and Ox all left in the summer?
Fans begging Ozil not to leave. Grown men. Fooking pathetic.
I would like to see Walcott/Oxlade/Alexis/Welbeck in a team managed by someone like Klopp before making a judgement.
Klopp basically refuses to play Benteke because he is slow and lumbering and players too often take the easy way out of hitting a long ball rather than maintaining possession and passing through a team.
The problem with Walcott/Oxlade/Welbeck is none of those three are technical enough to play in a top team.
You could get away with one, carried by another two more technically proficient attackers, but no chance all three can succeed at Arsenal
Welbeck is fine technically imo, just melts to chit when he gets near the box
Touch is probably OK, but dribbling, close control, passing short and long are all mediocre.

We have the makings is a very good team, add 2/3 top players and a new manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't even think it's 2/3 mate.
If we had changed Wenger in the summer, got a quality striker in, we would be about 10 points clear imo

Not even a little bit.
It baffles me why Wenger signed these technically deficient players whilst trying to instill a technically dependent system. Scratch that, no it doesn't; the ego maniac he is probably actually fully believes the technical ability of Henry, Pires, Vieira, Bergkamp Fabregas and co was entirely his doing.

Mind? I'd throw a facking street party!
This was our last chance to win the title for the next 5-10 years. Wenger should be raped in front of the nation
Aye, Dave, but in terms of winning the league rather than the CL I think only really a striker was crucial.
Thank God we got Elneny though, massive impact

They are all technically good enough. The problem with them is the same one Cesc was told he had when he first arrived at Barca. They are not tactically astute. Basically they are not prepared properly and told to be in certain positions during the game. They too often chase the ball or in Walcott's case over the last two games, making off the ball runs continuously when the midfield is struggling instead of coming short.
This lack of preparedness is not a new accusation at Wenger. It goes back a few years when he was asked how Wenger prepares for the opposition and Wenger said he concentrates on his own team. Pep was shocked at that and made those comments on Cesc lack of tactical knowledge in his development.
