Emery on how the arrival of Suarez will impact on Ozil. "No change. Is it now a bigger challenge for him to nail down a starting place? Suarez is coming here because we have a lot of problems with wingers." #AFC

What he means by wingers is probably not we regard as wingers. Essentially Ramsey and Mkhi can play wide. And so can Ozil.

We'll see. But I wouldn't pay too much attention to what Emery says. Just look at what he does. There was absolutely no point in chasing Nkunko, Carasco and Perisic if Suarez was being bought to play on the wing.

Suarez has already described himself as cheap version of Iniesta!

Things maybe would have change if we actually signed a winger but you will see that Emery will play him there.

So Denis Suarez then.

Serious question.

Have any of you ever seen him play football?

Ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did anyone with Torreira or Gwen?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dunno.

Why don't you ask them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop trying to do a dj.

Just because a player is relatively unknown to us doesn't mean he is poor. Chelsea sold De Bruyne and Salah as unknowns and City and Liverpool didn't buy them as super stars either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think you're missing the point - or rather assuming there was one, when in fact I was just curious as to whether anyone here has seen the guy kick anything remotely round.

Quite a lot of people were jumping on the Emery Out bandwagon yesterday.

What were people expecting ffs?

We all thought we'd get 0 points, we did get 0 points and when we end up with 0 points, everyone moans??

That performance was far better than any of our 3 performances against them last season that's for sure. At least we were still in the game until the 60th minute.

His first season was always going to be a bit of a write-off, but I said before that if he gets 4th with the lack of quality and depth we have, he deserves to be a contender for Manager of the Season.

Regardless of what we do/don't achieve this campaign, there are way more reasons why we should be optimistic for next season.

Trust the process.

We all thought we'd get 0 points and a trashing.

Never be in danger of a trashing.

Overall display was okay. Can't win or at least draw if you make so silly defensive individual mistakes (again).

Never happy when we lose a game but this one was calculated and better than expected.

I am not convinced of City to be honest. Very average performance by their standards with their players available. One dimensional team.

Hopefully by next season his English vocabulary will have improved too.

Win, lose or draw, listening to his post-match interviews is awful.

‘Never be in danger of a trashing’

Personally I’d consider 4-1 a thrashing, so considering City were denied a blatant penalty....

Good or bad thing that the rams lost?

If you look at the starting lineups of all the Premier League clubs this weekend, you’ll struggle to find 4 defenders worse than those that started for us yesterday.

This is why we will end 6th place in May.

As long as all the adverts were good.

And the dancing during the break between the 7th and 8th period.

And lots of people bought hotdogs and crappy beer.

That’s the most important thing.

They shouldn’t have even got to the Super Bowl in the first place, the refs helped them massively.

Still, I have no doubt that it won’t be their last appearance at a super bowl and will win one within the next few years
