Remember when Samir hated AMN and wanted Carl Jenkinson to play?

1. I didn’t hate AMN.
2. Jenkinson is not a RWB. And this was the wrong game to play him in.

The thing that annoys me about Mustafi more than anything is his arrogance. Every time he is at fault for a goal, he pulls a face and points his fingers at other players rather than accepting responsibility.

Words can’t explain how much I hate this priccck.

Btw, these quotes are a year old, but I only just saw them now.

From Lee Dixon:

“Wenger recruited some great players Kolo Toure, Sol, Thierry Henry. But Mustafi? I spoke to Gary Neville who said Valencia couldn’t give him away. Then Arsenal came along and paid £30m for him. I didn’t think the players that Wenger brought in are good enough”

Would we have won yesterday if we didn't have an abomination at CB? I think yes.

It was facking Gazidis.

Wenger had his faults, but he never would have paid £35M for Mustafi.

I’m sure we’ve been set back at least 5 years as a club due to these moronic decisions.

Wenger always has loved big powerfull cb with pace.

I don't think Wenger bought Mustafi. I remember there was pressure from the fans and media to buy a cb for the sake of buying. I think the Gazidis guy was behind it.

Wenger teams won games against the Palaces and Watfords of this world very easy.

Respectfully, this simply isn't true.

We needed a centre-back because it was an area where we lacked quality, depth and had sold Gabriel Paulista to Valencia. We went into the first two games of the season knowing we needed a centre-half without getting one. I don't know how or why it took us so long to get one, but it seemed like Mustafi was a purchase based on StatDNA, as he was at the top of La Liga for tackles, interceptions passing %. This was a big mistake, as there had been better options we could have pursued for a lower price had we not dithered until the last day of the transfer window.

As for Wenger always beating Watfords and Palaces, you keep saying this TMM, but I've repeatedly told you that this isn't correct.

We lost 2-1 to Watford at home two years ago where we looked like we were maybe in the race for the title. We lost to them last season too. We also lost to Palace 3-0 when Allardyce was manager. So Wenger also had these terrible results too every so often.
