J99, ok so if they’re actively looking for another manager, why say anything at all then? Why not leave it?

I’m telling you, until we’re literally mid table, they will only act then. This is not a proactive way of doing things. Especially when we can all foreshadow what is going to happen over the coming weeks.

They have to say something. The board are not blind. The entire Xhaka mess on top of poor results on the pitch has increased pressure on the entire club. They have felt the need to back the manager publicly which means they are not satisfied with whats happening. So if you are admitting to it you have to make contingencies. Now in the short term that maybe Freddie. However how is Freddie going to pull round a fractured dressing room? At that point you hope that one of the 3 top managers that are unemployed are willing to manage you now. Not so easy. I originally thought Emery could survive till Jan before this Xhaka thing blew up.

Looking at the league table, we have a negative GD after 12 games, despite having Auba, Pepe and Laca.
What a feckin shamble we are IN.
