Yes. They have. Danger money.

All the family stuff is irrelevent btw.

I am sure they will be sequestered. So when they are released after the season is over they will checked for the virus.

How is 'all the family stuff irrelevant' Ffs?

And they may well be paid a lot of money, but at no point in the past has this ever been referred to as 'danger money', so why now?

Just admit it. The point you're trying to make doesn't stand up morally.

Go read a book 'til this is all over, or something. Football isn't everything.

Because if they are tested before they return to their families they will know if they have the virus and not return until they are clear.

That is fine. Take a paycut for the time they are not working as all the people have done. That amounts to 33%, the cut that the execs at Arsenal have taken.

In fact lets see how well players survive on £2500 per month. Furlough the lot if they don't want to play.

Not the point I was making, but you seem to be / surely must be deliberately misinterpreting me, and tbh I'm bored of it now.

Then whats your point?

The fact is players are to be isolated. So they are not going to be in contact with their families. After their isolation ends they will be tested and given all clear before returning to the families.

How is a family member going to be infected because of playing behind closed doors?

'What if a member of a player's family were to contract the virus, or even worse, die from it during this 40 days period?'

Was my original comment.

Absolutely no mention whatsoever about them coming into contact with the players.

I can only assume you're so stuck on your opinion that the players should be forced to risk their health, simply because you're a bit bored, that you'll twist anything to try to strengthen your position.

Cool.

Knock yourself out, mate.

"What if a member of a player's family were to contract the virus, or even worse, die from it during this 40 days period?"

People are dying everywhere at all levels of society which is terribly sad. NHS staff amongst them. What has this got to do with football players doing their jobs in a very controlled environment during those 40 days? You expect me and a lot of people to sympathise with greedy multimillionaires who often hire others to take risk for them. And if you then expect them to play to cheer up those who are really suffering, those trapped with little or no income, its considered a bad thing? And its not like the players are coming in contact with those who are ill unlike delivery drivers, bus drivers, warehouse staff, and a lot of people still working through this!

Yeah, because clubs never allow their players or managers compassionate leave, do they?

Never.

It's not the people that are suffering that give a sh/t about football at the moment.

It's middle class, entitled tosspots, indignant that working class lads aren't being trooped out to entertain them, because that is more important than anything else right now.

Being entertained.

This is not compassionate leave. This is about doing their job in a safe way with most of the risk mitigated. To help, to have some normalcy for those who are trapped. Most of the public.

But if they are not brave enough like those uber drivers and pizza delivery guys then forgo any salary during the lock period like I am to help my company through this.

Footballers are not working. Why are they drawing any income for the period they are not working? Not 12.5%. 30% pay cut.

50k a week is not working class.

Please stop that bull.

I know what. I'll give myself and all my fellow directors compassionate leave and bankrupt my company.

Idjut footballers. Can't believe you are defending them.

The majority of footballers come from working class backgrounds. Surely even you cannot deny this?!

Sure, they've done well from themselves. But you're still asking working class lads to entertain middle class people, because they're safety, and therefore lives, are deemed of lesser value.

Footballers are employees, not directors.

Try again, maybe?
