Look at our team that day:
01 Almunia
03 Sagna
22 Clichy
31 Campbell
02 Diaby
04 Fabregas
07 Rosicky (Arshavin 68)
14 Walcott (Nasri 68)
15 Denilson
17 Song Billong
52 Bendtner
Who would win if that team played our current side?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This team wins just because of Diaby, Cesc, Rosiky and Nasri. The rest can go in the bin
Arshavin, Sagna, Walcott and Song would probably get into our current XI too.
Don't think Walcott would. Auba is a really good version of him
No disrespect to Theo there, whose time at arsenal has been unfairly forgotten
I meant he'd probably get in ahead of Pepe or Laca, neither of who are better than Theo.
By the way, just seen Chelsea going after Havertz now.
They really aren't messing around.
Chelsea fans have been insufferable for the past year or so (they always have been, but more than usual since Baku) and now it's just going to get worse.
Let's hope they all flop!

Great that the old board went balls out and sold the club to some plank content with our *cough cough* self-sustaining model

Average as they come.
Honestly lads, when I heard all this stuff about how COVID-19 was going to be a game changer for everyone, and even football would have to fall in line because of it too, I actually believed it.
Apparently Chelsea, Man U and, no doubt City will be pretty much unaffected by it.
The gap becomes a chasm.
United are a financial powerhouse and are commercially one of, if not the, biggest club in the world. They are still benefitting from the ample success from Ferguson's tenure.
Chelsea had a transfer ban and made a shiiiit tonne of money from the Morata and Hazard deals last Summer, which they never spent - this was in addition to whatever their transfer budget was going to be even before factoring in player sales. So again, no surprises that they're now spending a lot
City I'll guess we'll have to see, but yeah, it's going to be even harder to break into that elite top 4 now.
I think even Liverpool are struggling with this pandemic, despite their huge success on the pitch.
And then there is Spurs

Honestly any team in the Fabregas era would walk all over whatever we put out today. I’ve watched a lot of ‘EPL Classics’ in full over the last few months and football we played back then would make that team look like the Harlem Globetrotters compared to this lot.
It’s not even about the quality of players but the style of play just stick in that squads’ collective heads. This team has no structure or style whatsoever
