The three clubs allegedly interested in Maitland-Niles are Brighton, Leicester and Eintracht Frankfurt.

If we do sell, do we have any preference as to where he goes to?

Just think they should be able to generate enough funds from the players mentioned rather than having to sell AMN who is better than Bellerin and Soares at right back and also a very good left back.

Can't see Frankfurt paying over the odds for AMN.

Who said it will be over the odds? Wouldn't be surprised if he is sold for cheap.

Matuidi, 33yo also been handed a 3 year contract by Inter.
It is as if, clubs don't trust youngsters anymore.

Coq with Cazorla was elite

Honestly I liked le Coq at Arsenal. It didnt work out for him because of his injuries at a bad time. Tragic.

Part of the reason Coquelin's time at Arsenal came to an abrupt end was because Wenger tried to play him as a box-to-box midfielder. He was never technically gifted enough for a position like that, nor did he ever show any attacking prowess for Wenger to retrain him in a position like that. It was no surprise he didn't look comfortable in that role.

I don't know if he would have got into this current Arsenal midfield, as I think the Xhaka-Ceballos pivot worked fairly well, but he would have definitely got some minutes and would have been useful in games where we looked to defend deep and cede possession. He's a backs to the wall kind of player.

I am not a huge fan of Wenger's decisions in his recent years but tbf I agree with him on Coq. All the top teams want their dms to start moves as well as defend. Which is why he bought Xhaka. If you see what Thiàgo does for Bayern etc is much more than kante or Torreira or ndidi. That's why I agree with Petey that Partey is so much more than a BBF dm.
